Drinking games!
« on: July 20, 2007, 12:40:44 pm »
I'm throwing a little shindig tomorrow night and need some recommendations for drinking games.

Does anyone know any really great ones which are easy to get the hang of & remember rules for?

Thanks a lot!

'Indian Wrestling' (no idea where the name comes from)

And open bottle of inebriating beverage is placed in-between two seated contestants, each of which have their own (empty) glass.

They both hold of the bottle, and on the count of three, they both try to pour it in the other's glass.

Whoever's glass it gets poured into has to drink it.

That's the first round. The rounds continue until one of the contestants either passes out, or submits.

Simple enough? ;D

tl;dr. But with all those shiny symbols and numbers it's probably awsome.

There's always "I never" which is best with lots of people. A man with a bright red elephant thong should know how to play that, it's easy.
Not a winner anymore.

Yeah "I never" is going to be an option I think.  My list is currently: Circle of Death, Fuzzy Duck, Zuma-Zuma, 3 man, and I never.

Just wondering if there are any games that we simply have to play or have missed out in addition to the above list.

Well the official drinking game of Georgia Tech is beer pong, everytime there is a party beer pong tournament is one of the main attractions. So partly from not knowing any others, i suggest beer pong.

If you're going to have access to a TV you could always do one of those "Drink when you hear a certain character say a certain thing".
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Yeah my friends did that with the CSI miami drinking game (we're all forensic science students so it's more appropriate) a few of them left for cigarettes half way through, they came back and found out they had to do 28 shots (there was a gun fight)

try playing twister with a different shot on each position, it guarantees that you're going to end up with some interesting situations.

There is this maze thing where you have to get the ball to the other end. If it goes down a hole you take a beer and try again and again in turns until you complete the maze or pass out.

There's always the Gaming Steve Podcast drinking game where you drink everytime Steve says "with that being said" or pronounces Mario Marry-o.

Jacks Roulette.

Take a standard deck of playing cards, and remove all but the face cards (depending on how many people are playing) and shuffle. Take it in turns to draw a card. When someone draws a Jack, they must do something according to which Jack it was.

1st Jack drawn: Choose a size/type of glass/drinking vessel.
2nd Jack drawn: Choose a number of different types of drink/mixer.
3rd Jack drawn: Mix those drinks in any proportion in the vessel (you must use all the drinks)
4th Jack drawn: Must down the resultant mixture.

There are other things you can do when people draw things like queens and kings and such, as well, but that's up to you. I think we once combined this game with a kind of spin the bottle, where if you drew the Queen of Diamonds you had to get off with the person who drew the matching King, and so forth.
