But the mammoths lived in North America!  The Mayans were in South America, and a considerable few years after the Ice Age.  I don't think anyone used mammoths other than food, hut building, and clothing before.  Back then, we were cavepeople.  Not Aztec people!

They didn't have Mayan pyramids in North America (By which I mean Canada/America)...

Mammoths didn't live in Mexico.

"Pharoah, let my mammoths go!"
That made me laugh out loud! Good to know people still watch The Prince of Egypt.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for that movie, though it reminds me of West of Eden, a book about the start of a war between cavemen (one tribe of which worshipped mastodons) and race of evolved biologist dinosaurs.
Which is the worse summary ever, but here's to hoping it will be a good movie.

I voted no to seeing this, but I add that if there is nothing else to see and I'm in a position to go see a movie I'll probably go. It just looks like another CG fest.

The part I'll be laughing at will be all the 'political correctness' that will be force injected to the movie because 'they have to'.

Plus... no Raquel Welch (sigh)... yeah I know that was 1 million years BC.

if you look at it, it wasnt finished and it reminded me of NATIVE NORTH AMERICANS (cuz i realize mesoamerican pyramids dont look like those on the trailer, and sorry if i didnt make myself clear) also the climates can all be in north america.

if thats not it i dont know what is, becuase the pyramids in the trailer dont look like eygptian pyramids they have edges and stuff sticking out, gonna go see it again just in case im wrong.I checked it out again and paused it around 0:36 or something not sure and i couldnt tell if it is (though the river in it seems like that of the nile but its to short even if its harvest and planting season)

also you never know if a group of people just captured them and brought the mammoths back to egypt, cuz you saw a army (the people that could capture them) and tundra (where the mammoths live).

but for the setting of the pyramid I will have to wait and see, cuz if they where gonna make a movie like this they would have a explaination but ovarall i wouldnt mind spending money to watch this. Also they say they will prolly have the people in it speak english becuase WB and the people that made 300 are making this movie so becuase spartans talked english people are guessing they will make mammoth hunters talk english too.
...Since when did North-Americans build piramids? Also, the reason I think the piramid is egyptian = 1) The first Egyptian piramids were built in a stair-like way. 2) The other buildings look Egyptian. 3) There is a desert. 4) The soldiers look Egyptian/Nubian.

Mammoths didn't live in Mexico.

Neither did horses in North America until they were brought over by Europeans. The Aztecs or whoever could have brought them down there.

This movie look ridiculously stupid and horribly inaccurate. It just combines parts of human history and shoves it all in the same place.

With all due respect, it's not trying to be a history channel documentary.

It's trying to rock.
