Oh FFS, learn what "confirmation" means... and stop posting new threads. Delete your old one, or edit it and remove this one, or better yet, remove them both and make your post in one of the other existing recent video threads. I know im jumping on you man, but come on! Every little morsel of info we get and people sign up and start littering threads (hell, even 'established' members do it, maybe we need to break more fingers?), and then people start dissecting to impossible lengths at which we have no way of even beginning to dream of confirming.

Yeah I gotta say I saw these pictures and didn't think they looked underwater.  I don't know really how you guys are making that connection with the pictures.

And if this is underwater, does it matter that it is? If you guys are right then from the way it looks, underwater would be the exact same thing as on land.

Personally i wouldnt mind too much if being underwater wasnt that much different from land just as long as they dont put limitations on what i want to create.

You need to seriously chill and stop posting (or confine your posting to one of your three threads)

The pictures are way too 'clean' to be underwater and if they were underwater you would see non-ground clamped creatures. The old underwater scenes were full of small random creatures floating around, seaweed swaying and real bubbles, these pictures have none of those. These has a few ground clamped creatures, grass and trees (which are never underwater), and pollen/nighttime insects flurrying about.

It's fairly obvious those aren't underwater scenes. They're just some motes of light or other particle.

Zod, do you know if you have any form of color-blindess? That's clearly the blue sky and those are all land colonies.

What may have confused him is how much those "trees" look like coral.

The trees would easily fit in an underwater setting. However, in this case they do not. Those pics are taken on land.

Wow your right! I see dots! And we all know that dots can't be anything else other then bubbles. So the only logical conclusion is that is obviously underwater! Thanks for that I was so worried they took underwater out! You have rekindled my dream for this game, I just hope it isn't crushed by some harsh realization.

Also, watch this at about 00:50:
http://www.g4tv.com/e32007/blog/post/677234/Exclusive_SPORE_Footage.html

Theres the same, ahem, 'bubbles', but it's also a flying view including a lake.

Looks very nice though (at about 00:54, theres a beautifull shot with a depth blur on it, and it looks amasing...)

That lake does look beautiful. Now for those "bubbles" I do believe that that is snow.

Could be anything, even just dust. The whole game's more cinimatic.

The point, if it escaped anyone, is that there are very rarely lakes underwater.

Ooh, i love the depht-of-field vision they have put in! also, great thorn-trees, i want trees to be gigantic! also to swing myself from twig to twig!

and i think them "bubbles" are simply fireflies, or pollen or whatever.

I beleive in one clip there is snow all around. But there is also the same "bubbles" that you see in that pic. yet in that pic there is no snow and sense there are no fireflies in the winter I wonder what those could be? And I cant picture dust in winter im sorry.

They are pure, concentrated realism. Anything that obstructs your view is realism. Y'know, random spots, blur, bloom. Brown is also realism, but un-concentrated.
