Advice on selling my games?
« on: June 30, 2007, 06:10:23 pm »
What store yields the highest payout?

Should I even sell at a store?

Do you have any other advice?

A little help would go a long way towards my aquisition of mass effect. Thank you.

eBay, always.

Stores will give you the lowest price possible so they can sell them for the most profit.

However if they are recent games, the store may be better.

I'm selling:
The Sims Busting Out - Gamecube (Worst purchase I've ever made IMO)
Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix /w Dancepad - Xbox
Metal Arms: Glitch in the system - GC

DDR and the pad might go for a good price on eBay but the shipping could be high considering the pad.

The other two... just take them down to the store, nobody wants them. :P

The pad is soft and rollable. (Therefore easily shipped.)  I'm selling the game because with a soft pad it's difficult to play on carpet.

How heavy is the pad and how small can it be rolled/folded?

I'd say the pad weighs around 1-2 pounds. It can be folded down to a 1 1/2 foot by 11 inch rectangle. (For metric measurements consult online Feet to meters calculator.)

Well, yeah, I'd throw that thing up on eBay and take the others to the store... or the dump. :-\

Try looking to see what a similar product sells for on Ebay. You're not going to get too much more than the competition. Or you could post a disgustingly high price and hope somebody bids on it as a joke, is then legally obligated to pay you  ;D

*Shudders* Ugh, Bustin' Out...

eBay is good for good things only.

You are only going to sell the bad games to people who aren't really familiar to gaming.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

I've learned so far that the shipping fee really is the clincher. For the DDR pad plus game, people are wiling to pay over 80$

Edit:Uh does anyone here want it?

I've got a tip:

When you sell on eBay, sell each item individually. Instead of selling five games for $50, try selling the five individually for $12-15 each (or something along those lines).
