The best advice is finding out when the shipments come or are expected.  EBgames guy told me they usually show up on Tuesdays where I live.  I only spent 4 days looking for one.  It's mostly luck and timing.

For some reason, I want to buy a wii game as soon as a wii advert comes on... I also pay no attention if it is muted.

I spent a long time looking for a Wii. About two weeks ago I called Circuit City to see when their next shipment was, they told me to come back at 12 on Friday (It was a Wednesday when I called). After this I called Best Buy and asked them the same thing. They said that they didn't know when their next shipment was, but they had some in stock. I was pleased. I still only have one controller and haven't bought a game yet, but Wii Sports is fun.

I live in Southern California, so there must be a higher demand for them here. When I was in England late June early July, all the stores had signs advertising that they had Wiis in stock.

I found one for my sister yesterday, it was the last one in stock at Best Buy. They are still hard to find around here.

I was in a Gamestop the other day and they had some in stock. I asked, "oh so the Wii staying on the shelf longer?" he went "No it still sells like crazy." So there you go.
I need a new tag.
