Katamari Damacy DS and Age of Empires DS...

Discuss.

I personally love both of those games (the others mentioned I have no interest in or have never heard of the franchise). I haven't stopped playing AoE ever since the first came out, so you should be able to guess that I'm excited for a remake of Age of Kings. ^_^

Not from what I've heard, but if I hear anything about a PSP version, I'll let you know. :D

Age of Kings is a really good game, but after playing things like RoN and EE, it's pretty hard to get back into.
Why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?

I would have to agree, but I need my RTS fix (although the screenshots make it seem like a turnbased strategy game - see the information for the archer). Thank god for EE2 coming out in a few weeks.

Somewhat on the subject, it is my hope that after AoE DS is realesed, developers will realize that the DS is the best thing (other than the PC, of course) for RTS's. This is because the stylus can very easily replace a mouse, and even surpass it, perhaps. The only potential problem that I see is the relatively small screen. We shall see if that affects gameplay much.

I agree. I think that Nintendo's OWN franchise (Pikmin, which is the closest I've seen to a console RTS) would work swimmingly on the DS.

Yes. Can anyone here state anything that can disprove that the DS is perfect for RTS's? No? Didn't think so.

These sound like fun. I can't wait for someone to push the graphics on the DS to their limit, like RE4 did with the gamecube.

True, nobody has even come close to reaching the DS' graphics capabilities. And I honestly think that the DS IS perfectly suited for RTS games, if only because the touch feature can function like a mouse would for a traditional PC-based RTS. Turn-based Strategy games like Advance Wars DS are gonna be just as good because of that function.  :D

Advance Wars DS looks really cool. I played the first one and loved it. I, unfortunately, missed the second for some reason. But anyway, the whole missle thing looks like it will be a really cool feature.

Also, I think I rember seeing a satellite in one screenshot. Were my eyes playing tricks on me, or was that actually in the game?

Edit: I have seen the screenshot. This game looks really cool.
