Choices, Choices...
« on: April 27, 2007, 11:44:46 am »
Okay, I'm gonna need some help deciding something.

I barely ever use my PSP, I have two games and 5 movies. Okay, maybe I should rephrase "maybe" I use my PSP to get on the internet whenever the computer isn't available.

If I sell my PSP and accessories I should get about 250, right? That would get me extremely close to my laptop. Should I do it?

Oh, and now that I think about it - I shouldn't worry about losing out on some internet, in fact, it will get better, because I'll have my own computer!

Oppinions?

No way dude, you're trolling me.

Just like the guy in the other "What should I do with my PSP?" thread, you should know that this board has a pretty heavy slant away from Sony, so our opinions might be a bit biased. I don't own a PSP and never plan to, but a laptop would come in handy a lot. That's me, though. It's up to you.

Tell me, though. What would you do with a cheap laptop? I can't do much homework at all without access to a computer, being a computer science major, but if you would just browse the internet, it might not be worth it since real cheap laptops can't play many games, but your PSP can.

A good Laptop might be a good investment. It will serve you in the long run being that it has more practical use. If you want to get those kind of advantages, I suggest looking for good peformance for PC gaming. If not, at least you have something that has productive use. Overall, the PSP is not a good investment to begin with being that it can't do a lot of what PCs do. You might as well trade it for something more useful.

1GB RAM, 8OGB hard drive, DVD disc drive, vista premium...

Good enough for my primary uses:
The Sims 2
DVDs
Internet.

Brutus's estimate was in GBP

Here's one in USD: 220- 240 for the first and 40 for the second.

I went with a negotiable fee of 255 for number 1 and 35 for 2. Euros are worth more than dollars and less then pounds. Expensive, I know, but better safe than sorry.

Put it on eBay, set a minimun price you are happy with, and try to get the most out of it. PSP's (and DS') are region-free so you can still sell it to someone elsewhere in the world.
