I doubt Daemon is Old English. Middle English at best.

If you're an expert on the language's history then you probably know more than I do. I just said old in the sense that the word is archaic, i'm not really much of a language buff.

Ah, alright then  ;)

Old English is the point at which it's more Germanic than what we consider English.

Incomprehensible by the modern layman.

Yeah guys, don't turn this into another stereotyping thread that has to be locked just like EVERY OTHER THREAD where the words "Britain" or "America" were mentioned.

The general rule of thumb for u's is to think to yourself "Can the way I say this word be modified to be many times more arrogant?". If yes, add a u.

maybe you should visit Britain, ignore stereotypes and not make any assumptions before you say stupid things like that, were just people, we dont sit down all day thinking to ourselfs . . . .

"*Scoff* those Americans, *Scoff* color, *pompus laugh* Aluminum *laughs again*. . . . . . . . . .  i like tea and crumpets.. . . . . . . . . . I want some tea and crumpets, i can't wait to eat them with my oversized and yellow teeth."  *beats wife*

Oh sorry. For a moment I guess I just forgot the complete double standard on this board. Silly me!

Ever since that thread on peoples opinions on americans, it seems you've had your balls in a bit of a twist. Thing is Malt, nearly everyone in that thread admitted, hands down, that the stereotype was inaccurate, or that they really couldnt say what most americans were like. When you ask for an opinion on an entire nationality, the most common response will be a regurgitated stereotype, whether or not they actually believe in it. Those opinions were asked for, so they were given, and from the start, people knew nobody was going to like what was going to be said. But people stuck around to give a show of hands, so that the americans of the board didnt feel like we view them personally that way.

The difference is, what we spoke of, was requested, and aimed at nobody. What you did, was try to get a negative response. So just chill a little, or at least restrain yourself to the original thread. Then again, I guess your reputation of taking any excuse to make an obnoxious remark might be at stake, right?

Tu is actually French (Tu=you), I  took French

Hah, i use all of those. And tu is french, spanish, latin, and however many other romance languages. Romance...as in roman. I take, french and latin, and took spanish (for a short time).

I've decided something.

The countries of this world sucks.  All the stereotypes are true.

The last resort of the intelligent is the internet.  May it restore humanity to its future glory!

in the words of Docter Cox,

"if you took all the p0rn sites off the internet their would only be one site left and beleive me it would be called "BRING BACK THE P0RN!"

that site isn't very accurate, it says the british word for buiscit is scone when in reality we call buiscits "buiscits and a scone is one of these things. . . . .

that is clearly not a buiscit

Do you want to know the truth?

Due to the information age western culture is quickly assimilating.

Soon the english language won't have different spellings.

If txt has anything to do with it, pretty soon all english will be 90% devoid of vowls and punctuation, except of course for ".", "!", "?" and "lol"
