Meteos
« on: July 18, 2005, 01:14:59 pm »
Just picked this up over the weekend.  The rumors are very true: it's quite addicting.

Gameplay is pretty unique, and a bit frustrating initially when you realize, no, you're not playing Bejeweled and can't move blocks horizontally.  ;)

Haven't seen much talk of this game yet here, anyone else enjoying this game?

Out of 10?  An 8 or 9.

And this is just on 4 days of playing it, don't forget.  I just read the little write up gamespot did on it, and got a bit of an idea on new ways to tackle tough boards.  In doing so, the gaming experience has improved a lot.  I think the tutorial that comes with the game should be a lot more in depth.

It's pretty useless as it is.

Still haven't found anyone on the train to play wirelessly with yet, but playing against 3 computer opponents and setting the number of kills to 4 puts me in a nice solid game for quite some time.  Very tough.

I haven't even pushed the diffifculty up past 2 yet.  I'm at the point now where planets with low gravity are too easy, and the ones with high gravity are about right.

Plents that keep your single fusions still (not launching them at all) until you do a second fusion are still tough for me.

With the ability to create new planets and items, a whide range of difficulty settings and planets to choose from, it's really a very nice package.  Lots of gaming to be had.
