I hate zombies, and I always end up being afraid and nervous as Hell everytime I read about this sh*t, but I'll contribute anyways.

An idea would be to create a liquid mimicing the smell of most humans, and then, somehow, pour it over zombies so that they would attack eachother.

On another note, The Zombie Survival Guide was written by the comedian Max Brooks, and he has mentioned a few times how much of a kick he gets when he hears about people taking it seriously.

And a question: How big would the chances be that a zombie would go for human meat; meat of any kind, or even eat anything at all? (That's usually what I ask myself when I need to calm down, because I have zombiephobia/necrophobia.)

They attack people and eat them so that it will create a plot.  And plot is the main energy source for zombies.  If they didn't attack peole, there wouldn't be much plot to absorb, now would there?

Now, I know the minigun exudes an aura of total destruction, and yes, that is a well-deserved reputation, but in a zombie-fighting scenario, it's probably close to the last weapon you want.

It eats up ammunition like nothing else. The bullets aren't even small-caliber either, so keeping enough of them handy becomes a problem. Second, it's a stationary weapon, as no human can carry and fire this gun. Since mobility and speed are essential to survival, the immobile and ammo-eating minigun quickly becomes a useless weapon unless you have several tons of ammo and a perfectly defensible location to fire from.
There are some things mankind was not meant to know...

i also forgot to mention in my list that my old junior high (in walking distance) is so old it has a nuclear bomb shelter in the basement (its huge) with lots of electric power, non biodegradable food and 2 sets of 3' thick blast doors.
also the gun store i mentioned has enough bullets for a long fight and enough guns for 3 times as many people on these forums (yes all of them) and thats only on display. and since i live near Lawrence Massachusetts (lots of gangs= lots of guns) besides if any one of us could get a hold of a cruse ship or some other big boat after the zombie attacks then you could make it into a floating fortress. (zombies cant swim right?)

can Zombies Swim?

that is the kind of question you put with things like "How many roads must a man walk down?" and all those.

the only thing that would stop me survivng a zombie outbreak would be competition for safespots from other survivers.

damn churches arn't big enough.

It would be ironic, that instead of bullets, our guns shot a healing salve that cures all wounds!

And it would be completely useless on zombies.

they will try and smash it

can Zombies Swim?

no, they cant swim. but they can walk on the bottom of the river/sea and then inflate themselves with undead gasses so they come float next to your boat and try and eat you. if there are 50 zombies floating around your boat, they can DEFINATELY push it aside.
