One thing i'm doing is basically splitting the cop's powers, and making cop available to both sides. Cops now only get role/affiliation - interaction tracking is now the info gathered by an entirely new role, Detective. So Cop and Spy (now renamed Bent Cop) are now the same for both sides, as are Detectives and Evil Detectives.

Actually on second thoughts, this may cause something of an imbalance. I'll have to redress this..

How about having the cops/detectives know who each other are? That might balance things out a little.

It makes sense logically, but it's possible that it'd tip the odds a bit too much in the townsfolk's favor. Consider the main advantage of the Mafia from the outset is knowledge, whereas the Townsfolk's is weight of numbers. Cops who already know each other would already have eliminated possibilites from the outset... though one interesting possibility of your suggestion is the townie cops might know the mafia cops, but not realise they're crooked, so they think they're fellow townies.

How about the mafia votes don't count? Like they would still vote and you would still say that there vote would count, but it wouldn't count in the final tally.

Then wouldn't it be obvious who's mafia if a lesser vote counted even though a different person had more "obvious" votes? It wouldn't be 100% but it would narrow things down.

Anyway, I didn't have any clues about the others.
I was hoping they'd try to kill me..

did the cab drivers do anything at all? and the vigilante?
Or were only Gec and the Mafia actually doing anything?

Also, next time it might be nice to know which roles are being used, and in what quantity.
I didn't have a clue how many mafia members there were.

Actually I was one of the people who emailed in about the pace of the game. It was going too fast for me to do what I need to do everything else and  play. Which is why I only got one round in.
