I was suspicions of Brandonazz, but there was no evidence, I was maybe a little suspicions of Slartibartfast before, but when he gave us evidence, and made it look like a guess, then I thought he was a townie

But you Alwayswatching, had me completely fooled.

Oh god I need sleep.

Hah har! Only one man down!

Slarti, that's some good leadership. Now let's all do our secret mafia handshake in celebration!
Not a winner anymore.

Given I knew slart was the boss right from the start I must say I was damn impressed with how he completley played the townsfolk like a piano. I hadn't expected him to go as far as to sacrifice Pat when the mafia were already extremely close to winning, but it was part of a plan that paid off I guess since I assume pat had gathered too much heat.

Also, the full log of events is now available on page three of this topic. It's pretty longish though.

Congratulations Mafia.

I'd like to join the next game. Screw work, this actually looks very fun.

You might want to start a new thread for the next one. You could have two threads for the current game, and ask the moderators to merge the rest.

EDIT:
Even though I wasn't playing, I'd like to give a big thanks to Luminar for running this and finally getting a Mafia game going.

I'm going to duck out of the next one. I had fun though!

Keep me on the mailing list if a third one rolls around.

We need a lot more players too. As it stands, being a cop isn't particularly useful since you can't find out overly much about someone unless you spend several days tracking them, by which point 4 or 5 people may have died (which is a significant proportion of the people in the game).

Well the considerations this time around IMO, were....

1) I'm not fully sure I liked how Cops worked, with the "calling out" and revealing themselves and such. I think I kind of botched how that works and I should take one of two blanket extremes applied to all roles:

a) Everyone can claim to be of a paticular role. Since pretty much anything you say is going to be questioned at best and accused of outright lying at worst, then claiming you're of a paticular role will just draw attention to yourself or can be part of a legit tactic, so all are allowed to do it. Mafia (hell, even townsfolk) are also allowed to lie.

b) No-one is allowed to reveal their role at all. Not even cops.

B seems more secure, A seems more interesting... and i'm not fully sure on the whole thing so i'm wagering it's a matter of opinion. Since i'm not one of the players in there and bound by the roles i'm tossing this one out to the fickle winds of popular vote.

2) The pace of the game. I managed to upset a few players with the erratic and perhaps too fast pace of the game, so the game will have to be put onto a stringent time limit - though it'd be more of a "minimum time per phase" since obviously I can't be here 24/7 to instantly progress to the next phase, it'd be more a case of "Get your votes/power call-outs/murder details in before XX:XX:XX or you're at risk of not counting for that phase". There's also the matter of people becoming unavailable as well.

3) The "Mafia needs majority to win" rule. Though none of you will have saw this directly, for the last two day phases the mafia and townsfolk were equal to each in number - assuming if it had gone entirely in neutral favor from that point, with 1 mafia lynched per day and 1 townsfolk killed per night, then eventually it would come down to 2 people in the game - 1 mafia and 1 townsfolk, and obviously neither are going to vote for themselves so the game would hit a stalemate. So it's probably better to have the mafia win if they so much as pull even in number to the townsfolk.

Hmm, now that the first game has been a success I believe I'll join for round 2.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I'd prefer A, as it's more interesting. It opens up a few more tactics for players to use.
