Sim Highlands - Episode 6
« on: April 03, 2007, 10:55:47 am »
Hey. I am a little new here, well, I am new to posting here, I have been reading this forum since around January. Anyway, this is a Sim Caveman/SimRome/Sim Caveman2/Desert Dweller. I may not update it as often as Hydromancer does, mabey one or two time a day.

Oh, and thanks to Hydromancerx for the tips and mods

Sim Highlands
[/b]
__________________________________________________________________

These are the vast highlands of this world, it is a very wet, cold place. Infact, its winters last longer and summer and fall never seem to come while this far north. Vegetables thrive in the seasons between winter, but life is scarce other than the fish.

This is Chip Mountains, he is a brave explorer, ready to brace and tame these wild lands. He only has with him a few seeds, a copper axe, and the cloth he wears. Can he survive these harsh lands? You decide.

Yep, the seasons set here go Spring-Spring-Winter-Winter. I did it like this to add a sense of urgency and to try something differant than the other two Sim Cavemen.

What shall Chip do next?

(Expansions I have: University, Nightlife, OFP, Seasons. No Pets :( and no stuff packs.)

Well well well. I can't wait to get Seasons. Then maybe I might feel what it is like to do this. Great stuff. And the harsh conditions make it even more of a challenge.

I actually like this.  So far I'm beginning to see a pattern develop:
Sim Caveman stuff=Tribal progression
Sim normal/The movies=Just the normal game
What about an RP one?

Hopefully at some point all of these sims will merge or meet. It would be easy to do by trading files. There could be a common "stargate" for meetings and swaping.

Oh and someone should do Sim Alien, the masterminds behind the whole Stargate thing.

Explore and Chop Pine won so thats what Chip did.
_________________________________________________________________________________________

Chip decided to chop down a pine tree for some wood.

After some hard labour, he managed to get 8 large logs and some branches and small logs. (Sorry bought the build mode, didnt realize that.)

Chip then decided to search his new home. He soon realized that the river was blocking his way north, he would need to make a bridge or a raft device to expllore farther that way.

After some more exploring he found a small cavern, he decided not to go in because he was a little scarred.

Chip then went back to his pile of small branches and logs and thought about what he could do with them.

After some time he finally decided to craft a fishing pole so he could mabey catch a meal.

At first it seemed like Chip would'nt catch anything he was so bad :(

However, soon chip got the hang of it and caught a small Blue Catfish.

Night came and he decided to make a seat out of the tree stump, he moved the axe and sat down. He then placed his catch infront of him. He had no fire so he had to eat the fish raw, hopefully it was healthy!

Finally after a long day Chip fell asleep on the floor. He needs a fire to cook his meals and a bed to sleep on. He also needs to stock up for the long winter!

No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Clothing
You can have them be in more categories by going into Sims 2 body shop and the selecting it for all types. Thus allowing you to wear the same caveman clothes for outterwear, swimwear or even underwear. Ask Lady M for help if you need it since she helped me.

Make fire and tripod one so thats what Chip Did

When Chip woke up he decided to clean himself off in the river.

While bathing he spotted a frog close by, he quickly leaped and caught the frog, this will feed him today.

He then decided to go fishing to try and catch some more food, he only caught 2 RAinbow Trouts.

Later, he decided to try and make a fire pit and cooking area, so he could warm himself up and cook his food. Yum!

After some hard work, he completed his firepit and tripod. He can now warm himself up by the fire and cook his food! He only has 6 wood left now.

He cooked up and ate his frog very quickly, and then decided to warm up, he can feel winter coming! (4 Days left of Spring)

That night it started to rain. Chip had heard stories of gods helping mortals in need, but he needed a medium. He did the only thing he could thing of. He begged to the heavens to give him a sign, a medium, anything so he could please them! Then there was a crackle of lightning btween 3 pine tree's

Chip could not make out the new shape between the tree's very well. All he could see was a very dirty looking pillar.

He cautiously approached the object. He then saw it was infact a dirty pillar! But there was a strange, plant covered orb on the top of it. He then realized that this was his sign. He knew that this was to be his medium.

Exhausted from the work and excitement, he decided to take a rest on the ground. He now wished he had a shelter for the winter and a mate, he also does not have a name for his tribe at all yet.

~Please help me name the tribe OR clan, if you post, post a suggestion for the name as well!~

I think it should have a Scottish flavor to it maybe using the word Clan instead of tribe. This is pretty hokey but maybe the Braveheart Clan?

Episode 4

That morning Chip woke up and decided to cook up his last fish and get some food in his belly. He needed the energy.

He then went fishing in hopes of catching more fish so he wouldnt go hungry. He caught one Bass, and got a bronze badge in fishing!

He then decided that he would build a trap to catch small animals so he could get fur and meat.

He spent hours building a small little trap, it wasnt much, but hopefully it would catch something. He placed his fish there in hopes that it would lure another animal.

He then picked out a plot of land and decided to make a small home because he was getting cold and would need a place to stay warm.

After alot of work he finally managed to build a small structure with a dirty floor and wood roof. He would need stone and more wood if he wanted to build a bigger hut. *1 wood left*

He then decided to chop down some bamboo to make a bed when he got some fur.

He then checked his trap, it seems that a squirrel was checking out the dead fish and was caught. Chip quickly caught it and killed it, better eat it soon!

He then went and started to fish again for some more food. He caught a Jombo Bass and a Jumbo Catfish!!

He then offered his two fish to The Pillar, it is still very dirty, but The Pillar was very pleased.

The Pillar rewarded him with a forge and tools. He could now use stone to his greater advantage... If he could find some that is.

He then ate his rabbit and went to sleep inside his new hut. He is still VERY lonely and needs some stone. He also needs to prepare for the winter months and should build a bed and chop wood.

OH, And vote for the Clan name!

Pick between: The Braveheart Clan
Or                 The Gem Clan

Wew, this is a long one.

Chip woke up early and decided to do some early morning fishing.

He cooked up the only fish he managed to catch and ate it up. He then warmed himself up.

He went fishing again to get a fish for his trap, he managed to catch a jumbo catfish and a small trout.

He placed his smaller catch in the trap and left to clean up The Pillar, he felt it was to dirty, to please the gods, he cleaned it up.

He found that a layer of blueish algea/scum had built up under the plants, and the pillar! He needs to clean it more if he wants to restore it to its full glory!

After, he used a pile of bamboo to construct a weave and loom. HE can now make some bedding from the fur he recently got.

He then decided to use some of his recently chopped bamboo to construct a bed! He can now rest easier!

After alot of hard work, he managed to construct a bamboo bed and some bedding! He then took a well earned nap.

He then checked his trap. A beaver had accidently slipped in to cut some wood. He captured the beaver and left the fish there, mabey it would attract something else?

He went downstream and went exploring, he could see a glint in the distance and ran to see what it was.

He found a woman. Worried, he picked her up and took her back to his small home.

He then placed her in his newly made bed, aw how nice!

He then cooked up his fish and ate only half, he left the other half for the woman in his bed.

He then offered his Jumbo fish to The Pillar.

The Pillar was pleased with the fish and the cleaning, it rewarded him with a bamboo dresser.

The nap had kept him so well rested, he fished almost all night, he needed to prepare for winter. He caught 3 fish.

Early morning, the woman woke up and saw Chip gazing at the stars.

He spent all morning explaing her what had happened. He found out her name was Misty Hill. They also flirted a little and chip even gave her a peck on the cheek before he went to sleep.

Misty was even in his dreams!

Misty then decided to check the trap... nothing...

She then went and chopped up some timber, she may not know everything, but she did know winter was indeed coming.

She managed to get 8 logs

She then went exploring into the cave, she found many rocks they could use to improve thier hut with, and even mine.

Misty then ate up the half a fish and warmed herself up. Its getting coooooold (2 days till winter) better make a bigger house, make a fish trap, and get more wood!

Ok, new update!

It was getting cold, and they would need a bigger house, so Misty went into the mine and got some rocks to lay a foundation.

She found a nice open spot near the trap to lay it.

Wew, after some hard work she finally got it done, she would need Chips help for the rest however.

So she decided to clean The Pillar off of all the scum while she waited for Chip to wake up.

Behind the scum she found the White Orb to be very beautiful, and the Pillar was something special to.

The Pillar was pleased and rewarded her with 14 Logs of wood! This will be enough to keep the fire up for the winter.

Wew, Chip finally woke up.

When he did he and Misty flirted a little more. He was very impressed with all the work she had gotten done.

He threw a fish on the grill while they flirted. Only 3 fish left.

When night fell, they realized they needed the new shelter fast. So they began to take down thier old home to save wood.

They then began to build the new, larger hut with a thatched roof. Also, they moved the furniture in.

It looked very nice. Mabey they should move the fire in to make it cozy?

All that time spent together building the house brought them close together. So close that Chip propsed to Misty and she said yes!

To celebrate thier enagement, they did the rumble in the jungle, if you know what i mean ;).

Lo and Behold! The gods must have shown down upon Chip because he caught a large fox in his trap! He then killed the fox and replaced it with another fish, 2 left!

Oh no! The river was frozen! That means Chip cant fish or build a fishtrap anymore! Only 2 fish, and a fox... Hope it will last...

It was cold out... and Chip was not feeling as ready for the winter he would have wanted to be...

ONE DAY LEFT!! Its COLD better move that fire inside, alos, they cant explore because it is to cold, what should they do now?

They should start using meat for the trap instead of fish, since the river is frozen.
Probably not a Goat, either.

Maybe they should move the Pillar inside too, to be able to worship it from the cosy and warm house.

Updated.

That morning, Chip caught a rabbit in his trap. He then replaced it with a new fish. The trap seemed reliable, mabey he should move it, or make more.

He cooked up the rabbit and ate most of it, Misty woke up later and ate some more. there was still alot of meat left.

As Chip began to warm himself up, he thought that he should bring it inside so that his home could become more cozy.

Chip brought the fire, meat, and tripod, his home was rather cozy.

As chip moved the fire, Misty began to gather stone to build an alter.

She called out Chip and together they moved The Pillar and Orb.

They switched the Pillar with the smithy, now they had more room to build the alter.

After alot of work, they built a stone alter foundation for the Pillar.

HE then checked the trap, nothing...

Chip then offered the rest of the rabbit to the Pillar.

The Pillar was pleased with the alter and the rabbit, it rewarded him with a bamboo couch and a table!

They rearranged all of the furniture when it began to snow a little, after, they cuddled to get warmer. Awww

They then tied the knot!

That night Chip chopped up some bamboo

He managed to chop two stalks

Heavy snow started to come down so Chip ran inside!

Chip and Misty then had some fun in thier cozy, if somewhat cramped, home.

That night, the entire mountain was covered in snow, with nearly no end in sight, they will need to stay inside more, or risk freezing... It is now winter in the mountains. They may need a bigger house, mabey an outhouse and bath.

But people eat fish... and if rabbits eat people... they vicariously eat fish.

Right?
