Sim Caveman 2 - Episode 5

 Welcome to Sim Caveman 2, this is the second tribe which will interact in a way with Hydromancerx's tribe soon enough. You will be guiding him and his people through the times in their life. So VOTE.

Episode 1



 This is the prehistoric land of the Sims (2). The ice age has just ended and one Copper Black has left his village as it fell apart to begin a new village.



 It has woods, a river, hotsprings, and some bushs. Copper lives in a rocky, jungle-like land.



 This is Copper Black. He has a copper handaxe, a loincloth, dried meat and seeds from previous village, simple firemaking tools, and a copper knife. He loves exploring, innovation, hard work, and nature.

Woohoo! I was hoping you'd start soon. I've somewhat fallen out of favour with Hydro's thread, the move just made it lose to much of the caveman/populous feel, it looks more Age of Empires now. Which has it's appeal, but so does this. Are you going to prepare with some of Hydro's Sim Roman stuff so by the time you get there, you'll move from one to the other fluently and not with the whole move/stargate/destruction thingy? ^_^

If you want to give any suggestions Hydro, its fine by me.

Well were is your water? Not the river i mean but a sink or waterfall? Hot tubs do not do hygiene i don't think.

For instance i put in the water fall for bathing, the Japanese rock sink for a spring and of course the invisible peeing spots for bathroom. With those to start with you should be ok, otherwise your Sim might die before it goes anywhere. At least thats what my play testing has shown.

I have been following Caveman since Ep1, I just now started to post so i could add my own input and stuff. Also, if some more oportunities to start another 'tribe' open, I wanna be in that line. :)

Chop Wood won, so thats what Copper did.

Copper chopped down a birch tree and got 6 wood + 1 tree stump.





After that he was in need of a bathroom break, so he peed on a rock.





He then carved a Tiki from one of the log piles, the Black Tribe now walks the line of Evil, and the Tiki demands a human blood sacrifice. Due to the extremeness of sacrificing fellow Sims, the rewards are greater at lower levels.





Copper discovered a pass into the mountains and followed it.





These are the mountains with the river having made a small canyon, they're very cold and deathly too... only dead trees are there...





Fortunately Copper found a mine, this would eventually enable ore gathering along with weapon making, which is what I planned the tribe for anyway.





He returned and built a fire.

Copper built a cooking stand.





He then built a small hut. I forgot to paste the first picture of the hut, so thats why its dark.





He then made a fishing pole and went fishing for dinner.
His stats are starting to go down, and he'll need rest soon, what should he do? ( See Poll )

You know you can take screen shots in the game with the camera button. Just go to My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\(number of your neighborhood)\Storytelling and you should see snapshots and thumbnails. The snapshots are what you want to post.

I see "tiki" tribe as a bad name, so I made it Black Tribe :P I'll think about that.

You could always name it after a native animal, like mine became the bear tribe. If yours is jungle you could become maybe the jaguar or tiger tribe. Then you could find a baby tiger (aka cat with tiger stripes) and then grow it up to this...

Ok, in a fit of rage, i'm even angrier due to fact that screenshots are crappy as hellll when you get from the game.

Episode 4



Copper sat for many hours and pondered carpentry, the Black Tribe now knows more about carpentry.



He's in desperate need of a wife and some socialization.



Out of insanity, he cut his own arms up...



... And passed out. But the Tiki rewarded him...



... With skins, something that couldn't be gotten in this deadly jungle which devours animals ... ( i know i forgot about the whole build mode thing. )



He got into the hotsprings to relax, and it seems they help hygeine slightly.



He chopped down the greater tree near the hut and got 8 wood + 1 stump...



And improved the Tiki with the stump. ( If it needs another wood, just say so Hydro. )



He decided to go exploring...



He found a place filled to the brim with bamboo, but even better, he found a possible wife.



She (Daimond) agreed to return.


I thought the image of them going towards each other resembled the whole love thing with the feild and the running, you get it.

The amount of wood is fine. I only used 1 wood pile for each upgrade of the Totem Pole. In short you have like 7 wood piles left for stuff.

Also the gem is spelled "diamond" not "daimond" if you are naming her after it.

By the way everyone except for the plantsims and Brock were named after minerals. Alld the plant sims (except crystal) were named after plants. Brock sounded like rock though and that Pokemon guy, so i guess its ok.

Sorry but thats kinda dumb. Doing that at a time when she's most vital to the line, not to mention with the lack of medical technology, would lead to her death. Which is the reason i did not include worship tiki, because we need children first, and i know how ... strange.... people can be even in times of hardship for the Black Tribe.

But why did their clothes change?

Warning - while you were typing 4 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post. It's a popular thread :D

One of my few, rarely do I get much coverage on websites and etc unless I'm a co-founder on which many i am... Lets just say its weird in that the clothes i have them set for are not available in all categories.

You can have them be in more categories by going into Sims 2 body shop and the selecting it for all types. Thus allowing you to wear the same caveman clothes for outterwear, swimwear or even underwear. Ask Lady M for help if you need it since she helped me.

Well time for the fifth episode.

Copper dove straight in, and started flirting with Daimond.



From her reactions, he could tell she liked him as well.



In fact, it went so well, they were engaged within hours...



And married a few minutes later.



Daimond pondered agriculture. (Agriculture 1)



Copper built a spinning wheel which serves as a loom, because the loom is bugged in that if placed, it freezes the game until deleted, so I exhausted two wood.



This was their first dinner together.



They worked hard through the night, and got very tired, but they made a bed.



And crashed immediately.

Yeah your pondering technology is cool. I personally did it where they did tasks and if they did it enough it lead to more options. Such as if they metal build tools an some wooden weapons, after awhile they gain access to metal weapons. I like your way much better. Great job!

Hey thanks Hydor, I should have another episode out today, i juggle MANY MANY projects at one time which aren't associated with gamingsteve, so I can really do only 1 or so episodes a day unless its the weekend. And they arn't really cavemen, they live inside a hut, not a cave, so they're "HutPeople" for now. I guess my way is pretty good, i thought i might create a kind of tech tree but that'd be very complicated, but i'll sacrifice one of the twins if they have one :p Heheh. Larger rewards for SS ( Sim Sacrifice ) or maybe even an SSS.  ( Sim Sacrifice Service ) I guess I'll set my region to sprin spring summer summer, but I'll miss fall and winter in that neighborhood, and they'll never get to see snow... or falling leaves for that matter. Its already fall, So i'll just use the weather machine. Atleast there is one good thing, THEY NOT IN DANGER OF FREEZING!!! Thats one less civilization killer, now if only instant combustion and lightning could be blocked, i think I'll eventually get them to research a lightning poll, but thats FAR ahead.

Well hopefully the rain will put out the fire. I have had that happen. Its the cooing fires that will kill you off. Which i have them use the fire extinguisher which i pretend they use the water bucket.

There are so many others, it makes me unsure about what people thought, which I thought about after malt's uh... "parody"... or i prefer mean joke. First thing he ever really said to me was mean, but its malt the troller guy I guess. Just makes me unsure.

If your enjoying doing this then keep it going but be consistent. Don't give up after people have expected it to continue and get invested in the story. Don't worry about the others, just focus on yours and if your going to relate it to Hydro's story then make sure you have it well planned with him. It'll be fine.
