Overview

The Vengazar live on a planet named Acomo.
There they live in large groups of 150 to 300 Vengazar in rather little villages spread over the whole planet.

They're guided by one elder per group, who takes control over the religious as well as the tribal life.

Physicals

The Vengazar are completly covered with a chitin-shell which has a greyish and sometimes a brownish color and is shared into 7 segments. Elder Vengazar have a redish shell.

Vengazar have spiderlike legs. Two of them are growing out of the front of the head to stabilize the body. The other 8 are attached to the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th segment.
They grant some kind of pouncing attack. Also they can run very fast, to do this they raise the front legs and use only the hind legs to move.

Out of the 2nd segment of the body grow 2 large arms which are ending in three-fingered claws.
They're used to pull the food to the mouth.
The mouth is on the underside of the body between the 1st and 2nd segment only visible if you're standing right under the Vengazar.

UPDATE!

The Planet(s)

Acomo (Father)
Diameter: 28688 km
Geology: Warm planet, circa 33 Celsius the whole year. Mostly covered by montains and rocks, very low amount of water, no oceans only "big" seas.
Unlike other planets, Acomo is surrounded by 2 suns and 2 moons causing no real darkness on the planet.
Everything on Acomo is grey, except the polecaps and the "water" which is more a brown soup, because of the mixture of ashes, dirt and the low amount of life in it. There are amazingly much plants on the planet but only some species can survive. Mostly they grow near to the seas.

Sionce (Brother Sun)
Diameter: 8024 km
Geology: Like our sun, but smaller. Contains an high amount of carbon which causes this sun to give blue light.

Sionca (Sister Sun)
Diameter: 8286 km
Geology: Like our sun, but smaller. Contains an high amount of carbon which causes this sun to give blue light.

Kesyc (Brother Moon)
Diameter: 4225 km
Geology: Rocky planet with high amount of sulfur, has yellow colored surface but through the suns it seems green.

Kasyc (Sister Moon)

Diameter: 4066 km
Geology: Rocky planet with high amount of sulfur, has yellow colored surface but through the suns it seems green.

(Even that there are no male or female Vengazar now, once there were and the name's still from the beginning of Vengazar civilisation!)

Small UPDATE!

Religion

The Vengazar praise their homeplanet, because it's the centre of their "solar system".

Their pagan like creatures who respect their environment and had learned to live with what they got from it.
Every tribe has an stone altar somewhere outside their village formed like their religious symbol.

The symbol shows their homeplanet Acomo, the black bars are symbolising the space, the white points others stars as well as the 2 moons and suns, the form shows that everything is moving around Acomo.

Although Vengazar are not very religious creatures, every quarter of a year the whole tribe, leaded by the elder, gather around the altar and sacrifice 1 animal to their planet.
Then they praise, but what the chant is they spell is forbidden to be heared by them who are no Vengazar.

UPDATE!

(A bit more) About

The Vengazar evolved from rather big octopus-like creatures only called "Gazar".

(I used www.freewebs.com/thelochflash (to pay tribute and hope I'm pissing no one off) for the picture.)
To reach the land the tentacles had to evolve to spiderlike legs which are causing them to move fast over the landscape.
Although they can't climb really good due to their leg position they can leap forward or jump up to 3 meters high.

They're omnivorous creatures so they hunt to get they're daily meat.
Vengazar are packhunters. They form little groups named Jakr out of 10 to 15 creatures to hunt normal prey.
As there are not much creatures that are bigger then the Vengazar, nevertheless they had to create "special tactics" to hunt these bigger creatures down.
The so called Venjakr are hunting groups out of 30 to 50(!) Vengazar. If there's a big prey in sight the Vengazar spread out to surround the creature.
Half of them stay behind and wwait for the circle to be finished after that they start running and leap on another Vengazar and from there on the bigger creature. There they begin to impale the big creature with they're legs.

The Vengazar sleep in rock-like buildings or caves in the mountains and live just on the outside world. Until now there are no real houses, but communities.
They dig many holes in mountainwalls so the whole tribe can sleep inside of it. Sometimes they collect a huge pile of heavy rocks and stones to build some sort of "artifical mountain" where they then dig sleeping caves into the ground.

Even if they're hermaphrodites a Vengazar can't be fertilized by his own semen. So 2 Vengazar are needed to reproduce but there can be more. From 2 to 20(sic!) Vengazar can be fertilized by one.
There is no direct fertilization between one Vengazar and another. The "male" creature lays his semen in his sleeping place where the "female" Vengazar goes bathing and takes them up.
In the filled hole is enough semen to fertilize about 20 Vengazar at once. After that it has to clean his cave.

I'm currently working on a bit more religion and the socials.

Suggestions? Opinions?

PS: I know the pic sucks but I can't draw with anything.

PPS: And please excuse the poor english, I'm from germany and out of school for 2 years now! ;D

Nice banging, indeed you should add some culture religion and a bit more biology to my taste.

Good job anyway.

I meant in general though, even humans "front" limbs are backwards jointed, I'm not sure if it makes walking for animals easier or not *insert thinking smiley here*

Still good point.

Hmmm...well, look just like my legs didn't they?
Btw: I finished the claws! (They're from the Creature Editor 3.0 made by HydromancerX, Huggruka and Yokto. But I edited them a bit. Hope it's ok?)
