New SPORE figurine pics - March 29 2007

http://www.pcgamer.com/archives/2007/03/32907--look_wha.html

It's not alot - perhaps not even topic worthy - but it looked new so I thought I'd share. It's a pretty good creature design too.

Cool! You should post the pics under the picture sticky thread at the top.

Well I think if you save the pictures to your desktop, upload to a hosting site like Photobucket, and copy the html code, you should be able to post it in a reply to the image archives thread.

If there was a better way to go then it would find me
I can't help it, the road just rolls out behind me
Be kind to me, or treat me mean
I'll make the most of it, I'm an extraordinary machine

Wow, i am continually impressed by the Rapid Prototyping technology used to build the creatures. I just wonder how they paint them...

I hope they make a service where you can have them send you a model of your creature (for a price of course  ;D $$$) once the game is released. Fans would love it and they would rake in some serious extra cash  8)

if they have that feature then i think all pre-orders should get a free figurine order of their creature

I was thinking they would charge 10$ or more per figurine so that makes little sense at preorders are usually the same price or cheaper.

the problem with offering mass figure sales of players creatures is that there not the fastest things to make and having to make hundreds/thousands would be a very long process

well it looks like they could crank out a creature every hour or so...maybe more?
and if they get more than one printer, it could be fine.
Anyway, if the demand is great enough, they can just buy more printers to supply everyone (they could make a lot of money from this).

it would probly be more like 3-4hours each, givin they dont have to only make one at a time tho but it all adds up. more on the cost to some of these models http://www.ualberta.ca/CNS/3DPRINTER/#20
