Well the whole problem with the mod is the game is rated M and the esrb also had
  • Nlood and Gore
  • Intense Voilence
  • Strong Language
  • Strong Sexual Content
  • Use of Drugs
If the footage was put in the game and left then they would of had Sex and maybe Nudity which with all that would bump it up to a NR/AO rating.

Mature is 17+ but i'm only 16 and I got a copy, but if it was NR/AO then I probably wouldn't have gotten my hands on a copy ever. People take the NR/AO rating alot more series. I was playing Mortal combat back when I was 6 and that was rated M back then.

People go into pubs and drink underage all over England.  That doesn't make the breweries responsible for putting alcohol in their beers - that's the fault of the barmen who serve the people.

In this context, we could say that it isn't Rockstar's problem, it's the companies which sell these "Mature" games to people who are not deemed of the right age.

I COMPLETELY agree with you, Lord Janos. Anyway, its not like its a normal part of the game, you'd have to actively seek out to download and install a modification to show this stuff.

See... my problem is that the only way you can access this is via a third party mod. So parents (Or atleast parents that get this game for their kinds and for some very odd reason worry about them seeing sex and disregard the other things in the game) don't have to worry about their kid seeing the sexual content.

Bah... those stupid watchdog groups need to be stopped... or atleast think some of their attacks through a bit more...

But the game is rated M and that means 17 and older... so if someone younger is playing the game the game the parents have noone else to blame but themselves...

Kind of went off topic... sorry.

GTA is rated 17+, where people are mature enough to be having sex and know what it is like.

You'd be surprised.

I say there's nothing to get upset about, this really doesn't effect our lives in any way.
We will always be able to choose what we want to buy, whether or not it's approved by conservatives.
I think it's a good thing that they don't want 12-year olds buying pornographic games.
That's really all the conservatives are trying to do, make it more difficult for kids to buy this stuff.
They know they can't stop these games from being MADE, but they can help stop kids from buying it.
I'm all for it, it provides balance. Personally I love violence & sex in games, & since I'm 21, I know I can always buy it.
I don't think kids should be able to buy porn straight up, even though when I was 12 I got it anyway, I had to TRY HARDER.
There's really nothing wrong with that.

Conservatives will always be making new rules, and kids will always be finding ways around them.

Well, in Minneapolis you'll be hard pressed to find a copy of GTA:SA. They've all been pulled off the shelves of the major retailers because they have a strict 'No Adult Oriented' policy. I did notice that the local book store had a few copies of 1984 for sale however. :)

Unless you live in Australia, or unless the conservatives where you live manage to enact draconian anti-game-violence laws or the like.
