Hi i'm wondering if you let another tribe/city of your species to live long enough would they evolve their sdeparate ways or just stay the same?

Bythe time you reach the tribal stage, the evolution part of the game is complete, so no. :)

physically, no they won't change, but they will "evolve" different cultures like in the GDC video where Will's city is peaceful and the CPU's is warlike

Ok so once we reach tribal we can't evolve the species at all apart from the gentic engineering tool?

it doesn't look like it. i think we just change their culture then and their asthetics.

I think this old question has been confirmed just with this picture.



As you can see it has diffrent looking Williosaurs. I wonder if this was chnaged becuase of the forum or always in the planning of Spore.

I like the different texture and sizes idea though just to give it some variation :)

Nice find, Hydro, but the exact meaning of those symbols is unclear. It could mean that there will be variations within the species, or it could simply be pointing out the fact that you can choose what the textures will look like.

they are bjust showing a variation in each creature, so they don't all look identical, time has already told, in the words of will wright

"the creature is now set, you evolved the creature,"

so sorry but the answer to this is no.
