Pat, I second Ink's sympathy and add my own. I've had stuff stolen before. It does suck, and you blame yourself for a while, but it's really not your fault. Something slipping your mind doesn't mean you have bad judgement.
What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

My sympathy as well. Getting your stuff taken really bites but you can't blame someone else's loose morals on yourself. As sgore said, forgetting to do something doesn't mean you have bad judgement, just means you're human.

Plus, silver lining, the dingus didn't hotwire and steal your whole car. So at least there's that, if it's any consolation.

Prescription drugs or the recreational kind we're technically not supposed to discuss on this forum? :Y

Nah just the regular meds.

Trying to look at it as a new beginning. Might just kill drifters.

Damn that seems kinda worse than having some weed lifted :/

I know the rage you're feeling. I felt the same way when my bike was stolen from my own back garden. You just despair at the nature of humanity. The feeling will eventually pass though :/

Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

That's just bad luck, Pat.

I left my storage door unlocked for like, a month. I was going to go lock it shortly during the same day I opened it, and it just slipped my mind. By the first time I remembered I was like, "who would want to steal my dumb crap" and the second time "if people were going to steal my stuff they're probably already stolen" and "it was dumb crap anyway". When I got back weeks later it was virtually empty.

Now there's stupidity for you. Lucky for me, the only two valuable things I thought might be missing I found inside my room. One chessboard disappeared, though, but I deserve it for being a derp. Otherwise it was just, you know, dumb crap like spare fabric and old clothes that I was planning to get rid of.

But yeah, totally should have gone to lock it immediately as I first remembered it. Sometimes I wonder how my dumb ass keeps surviving.

Ah it's already not going well. Was up most of the night watching out the windows for "them" to come back.

Surely there must be a way to at least get some replacement meds? Some sort of concession available for people who can't afford them and lost some due to circumstances beyond their control?

No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Well, I was outside your window. Now I am inside your soul.

I reckon you and I will be just cozy.
