Extreme lack of communication. They should text or call to confirm or knock on the door.

of course, I am a planner when it comes to things like that..

I know a few people who are that bad with communication, too.  In fact, I am in theory about to go hang out with them.
Probably not a Goat, either.

It's really just common courtesy, and one of my pet peeves when people just can't be bothered to keep you in the loop.
I mean, isn't that one of the great reasons for having cellphones, or like, PHONES at all?

Still, I know that feel.
When you really look forward towards something, random (and avoidable) cancellation can be really disappointing, and can wreck your mood for the day.
Don't blame yourself, though. You were prepped and waiting, and all they had to do was clue you in, or hell, knock on the damned door. Even if the hike was cancelled you could have still done -SOMETHING- with them, even if it was just hanging around doing nothing in particular.

Sucks, but totally not your fault, man.

What's even more frustrating is that now there's this odd feeling that I should be doing something. Like, I kind of expected a large chunk of my day to be out doing some stuff.
And when I couldn't go do that, nothing I do feels right. I can typically spend all day sitting around anyway but it just feels odd today.

Pff.

I'm not having a bad day though. It's fine I guess.
Strikingly boring though.

Nuts to this. I'm going for a walk.

This.

The worst is when people don;t bother to tell you've they've flat out just decided not to do whatever it was that had originally planned until after the time for it has passed and you contact them to check. ****ing discourteous idiots.  :P
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Today's gripe: People who don't know the difference between "hoard" and "horde"

Yes they are both homonyms that relate to large numbers of things but you are still wrong go back to school.

I read a book about that. To be a nerd you cannot just engage in nerd cliches and nerd chic, you must actually take a disturbingly rabid interest in nerdy subjects. At my school wearing fake "nerd glasses" (black plastic frames, square-y) was a fad. I on the other hand was the only one actually reading sci-fi and fantasy, playing DnD, and participating in other decidedly nerdy activities. I despise the people who claim to be nerds because nerd chic is popular. I want to hit them. Really horde.
