Explore won so thats what the colony did.

Episode 11



The scouts went out as far as they could go and then built an out post with a dirt path to it.



Once it was built they explores even farther keeping the outpost in sight. However all they discovered was the coast comes closer to the river at some point. But they will need to build more outposts if they want to find the ore.

The colony researched commercial and utilities. For commercial they discovered that they can ship in Plantsim slaves to work as free labor. For utilities they discovered landfills to throw away their garbage and keep it out of the village.
