Anyone seen this movie yet? I'm a fan of the books and have yet to see the movie, but would like to hear some of you's opinions about it.

It really isn't that great. The acting is mediocre and the movie looks like the 3rd sequel of Star Wars. You might have fun making fun of it afterwards but other than that, it's a waste of time... Just keep reading the books, they're much better than the movie. ;)

Why is that?

Why is that?

Because I'm stubborn. And if I grapple onto the series now, I'll look like one of the people who only start liking something after the movie.

Theres this weird kid at school who thinks he's a ninja who thoughroughly recommends the books, which for me is enough of a reason not to read the books or see the movie.

I don't want to see it because I want to remember Malkovich from his good movies. Actually, I really shouldn't see any more Malkovih movies, he takes the weirdest roles these days. Such a genius wasted.  :(

It infuriates me to no end that unoriginal, plagarising little crapsacks like the festering bastard who wrote Eragon (who is younger than ME for christ sake) can make mass profit from passing out cookie-cutter drivel, while the main reason I don't bother writing is the fact people'd just turn their noses up at it because it's not plastered all over the place.

So the general consensus is that the movie wasnt that great.

But, it would still be super sweet to be a dragon rider!

The movie finished with a wide opening for a sequel, now I dont know anything about the books, but does anyone know if there will be a sequel?

Not worth paying to see at the cinemas, not worth the time and traffic to download, but I was able to leech it off someone so I watched it while playing WoW.
