Why, why, why must they always use quicktime? I don't have the damn thing, and everytime I try to download it on the site all this ipod junk comes up and wrecks up my download.

No amount of money would ever make a giant gorilla and dinosaurs together look realistic. It just makes the dinosaurs look tiny.

king king was filmed over the hill from where I live, and you can see some of the boats they used in the harbour

yeah, well seeing as he is a new zealander, and lives not far from here.
Expect to see more movies coming from the shores of NZ. Such as the Chronicles of Narnia

I didn't realize he was from NZ. The Chronicles of Narina looks really cool. I saw previews of it when I saw Star Wars. NZ is on my list of places to visit. Lucky you get to live there and they film movies over your hill ;)

Well we are gonna have to judge what it really looks like on the big screen.
"Listen, I mean that from my knowledge of the world that I see around me, I think that it is much more likely that the reports of flying saucers are the results of the known irrational characteristics of terrestrial intelligence than of the unknown rational efforts of extra-terrestrial intelligence."

Keep in mind that all the special effects in the trailers are very rarely the "final" graphics. Usually what they do (if you listen to the LOTR commentaries, which I just finished, all of them for all the movies) is keep refining the rendering process and the models until the very last minute (for Return of the King they were still doing the special effects until one WEEK before the movie was released), rerender the scenes and then use those in the final movie. So the final scenes will most likely look even better.

This is actually true of most movies, but Peter Jackson really pushes his stuff to the limit (like doing the graphics with just 1 week left).

At this point if Peter Jackson were doing Teen Movie 587 I would go see it.

New Zeeland is a great place, are really neat to visit.  If you ever get a chance go swiming with the Dolphins, thats beyon amazing.  Flying in the mountins is really fun too.  I remember when I was there the front page of the local newspaper had an article on how LOTR had just started filming.  Really exciting.  I got to see a lot of the areas where they filmed.  Need to go back there someday.  Looks like I will be hittin Australia next summer, maybe I will stop by.

I saw the trailer before War of the Worlds (I didn't like that movie, it was quite bad with the weakest ending imaginable). It looks good, but the trailer didn't convince me actually. I didn't saw the original king kong.

Chronicles of Narnia and Charlie and the Chocolate factory are on top of my "must view" list at the moment.

I will see Chriicles of Narnia, but Charlie and the Chocolate Factory just looks bad.  I just can't imagine anyone but Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, and I don't like the way I see Johnny Depp playing it, at least from what I've seen in the trailers.  I realize that I need to look at it as different from the origonal, but I can't help but think that it looks like crap.  I wish they would stop remaking moves.  Its like Hollywood has no new ideas.

That's because Hollywood DOESN'T have any new ideas, and because Hollywood, to be frank, bloody well sucks.

Sitting here waiting patiently for it to load probably be another 10 or so mins well thats what i get for choosing the large video maybe I should grab my GBA while I wait or something.

Well played tetris online I was going well got a few four line in one move things happening then one piece int he wrong place and it went to heck in a hand basket.

Oh yeah the trailer looks cool I had seen the last part of it before somewhere still awesome though and kind of glad they did set it back in the day wouldn't have made much sense having Kong trying to swat jet fighters from the top of the empire state building.

Wow, that was awesome. Especially that part at the end where he jumps in the air and rips the plane's wing off. I hope it will be a good movie. I definitely want to see it.

It looks great, but it's funny cause they'll probably remake this movie in 50 years and laugh at our special effects and computer animation.
