Which planet in the video did you like better?

as nice as the first one was(the one will started on) i don't know exactly why but i like the 3nd one better. It was just the way it seemed to Glisten in the sun that just mesmererised me. I was a little upset he blew it up. :( . although they should't have attacked him. I loved the planet. wasn't too fond of its inhabitents though...

I didn't like one more than the other, they both looked good to me. (technically the "second" planet you list here is actually the thhird planet, the second was still in Will's solar system, the one he terraformed.  ;))

I didn't care for either. They seemed really 'cartoony'. Maybe if I saw the actual demo in full color it wouldn't have seemed so bad. Hopefully the planets themselves will have a greater detail than what we saw.

Anybody every play with the planetary rules in GURPS SPACE? That is what I'd like to see.

I downloaded a program to do that a while back, all sorts of neat things

"6.4 Um's per minute" or "The Speed of Wright

An adventurer in the land of who gives a ****

The idea is to mix one ingredient that will burn very fast with a second ingredient that will supply enough oxygen for that burning. This burns so fast, it's an explosion.

I really liked how you could plainly see that Wills homeworld was alot further away from its star than the one he blew up was from its star, and how the 3rd world was significantly more arid due to its closeness to a star. I dunno why, but I liked how diverse it looked and how much attention the team has spent looking at such issues :)

I loved that. It was great how huget the sun was. I bet Will and his team are taking even more time to make the planets even more unique in the last year of developement.

Another thing I liked was the music when he got to that planet and how nice the sunlight bounced off the oceans.

Edit: I was looking through old posts around here and this might be the guy responsible for coding the planet generation.

whoa. that's a real recent screen of what the guy's been working on?
Edit: The angle the screen is taken at makes it look amazing. when you look at the other shots, the stuff showcased at the GDC looks a little nicer. Though both still are just, Wow.

That page was last updated Monday, June 21, 2004 11:46:04 PM so its at least a year old. I don't think he wanted to show any of the cartoony stuff he worked on for Spore.

Edit: His email is on the website if anyone wants to ask him a couple questions and post the answers here :)
