Rip DVD Commentary track on a mac.
« on: January 08, 2007, 10:33:10 am »
In and old old episode of the podcast Steve mentions a program he uses to rip dvd commentary track to itunes. I remember he said he listens to the Simpson commentary tracks. He said that he used a specific and very easy program to do this on the mac. I looked through all the episodes notes and searched around with no luck. So now im trying here. Anyone remember the name of the program or know where to find it? Or just know of a  program who do just that.

It's not what you're after specifically, I don't think, but a program which has Mac, Windows and Linux versions is Audacity. It can be used to rip any sound coming through your sound card, so could probably handle this.

This is how I do it, but there is probably an easier way by now using a better program, but this is how I do it (it's a long and involved process on the PC):

Thanks Steve! I knew I heard you talking about this on some of the older podcasts. Have really looked around för a good program to do this in an easy way but haven't found any yet.
