Good Eats: Bill Nye the Science Guy does a cooking show.
« on: June 24, 2005, 05:12:46 pm »
Okay it's not actually hosted by Bill Nye, but by a guy named Alton Brown, who is just as quirky.

If anyone has ever grown up watching Bill Nye the science guy, and you wanna learn how to cook stuff, I'd reccomend this show. Anybody else here watch it?

It's on the food network at 7PM during the week. It's really nifty...and I figured if gamers were going to watch a cooking show, they'd watch that one.

Bill Nye was a tool.  Beakman was so much cooler.  Regardless, Alton Brown is beyond awesome.  This is just proves my point: http://slumbering.lungfish.com/index.php?p=oralsexlist

I Hate Bill Nye now... after the Shuttle disaster he did an interview advocating unmanned space exploration...... as in more robots!
We began the greatest part of the space age the day JFK said we want men on the moon.... anyway I'm just glad the shuttle is going up again.

love that show good eats and I never miss him covering Iron chef.

it's very redundant.  he just drones on the same simple concept for half an hour.  beakman handled a lot of different things and did them just enough for you to understand.

Didn't Beakman have an episode on some weird evaporation effect? And then he put his hand in molten lead and put liquid nitrogen in his mouth? That was cool.

edit:the difference between bill nye and beakman is that nye is an accomplished engineer, and beakman is paul zaloom, who is an obscure actor.
