Fantasy Band

Okay, so this is a game which I've seen elsewhere, and which is pretty fun (it's partially duplicated in the "GS Musicology 101" thread, but I feel it deserves one to itself). The idea here is to put down your dream combinations of musicians (you may do more than one). They're getting together for one album - you can pick the style/name/whatever. Just be creative, it doesn't have to be musically brilliant, just interesting.

Band Name:
Genre/Style:
Members & their instruments:
Describe the album:

Here's my example.

Band Name:
Seventh Salvation (I love band-name generators)
Genre/Style:
Soaring and apocalyptic prog metal
Members:
Matt Bellamy, guitar and vocals
Herman Li, guitar
John Petrucci, guitar
Chris Squire, bass
Rick Wakeman, keyboard
Bill Ward, drums
The Album
Self titled, the album would experiment with soaring and expansive keyboards and guitars for the first half, before plunging into a heavier metal style at the end. Written by Bellamy and Wakeman. Probably wouldn't be a commercial success, but might gather a cult following.

I'll post some more ideas when I get them.

Band Name: Applejuice
Genre/Style: As many genres as possible
Members & their instruments:
Me - Electric Guitar
Some english dude - Trombone
Some scottish dude - Bagpipe
Some french dude - Accordeon
Some irish dude - Harp
Some african tribal women - Bassoon
Describe the album: our album would have 10 songs: each totally different, featuring the 10 most different genres (so not hard rock + soft rock, but rock + country).

Yeah, that'd be totally weird, and totally awesome ^^
Maybe I should also have 3 midgets playing 1 drum together :D

Band Name: Cushion Octane

Genre/Style: Mainly style parodies of existing songs, building on the strengths of their frontman.

Members & their instruments:
Vocals and piano - Hugh Laurie (Yes. The actor)
Additional Vocals: Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel and Tom Lehrer
Guitar - Paul Weller
Bass: Jet Harris
Drums: Roger Taylor

Describe the album: Artists culled from the groups featuring most prominently in my top rated section in iTunes perform well thought out and genuinely musically excellent parodies of other popular bands.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Band Name: Hang up and Drive!
Genre/Style: Rock, Rock Ballad, Folk
Members & their instruments:The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Phil Collins, Dolly Parton, Ray Stevens, Joel Walsh, Phil Harris, Charlie Daniels, Kenny Loggins, George Harrison, Garth Brooks, ZZtop,  Nickleback, and Huey Lewis

Trans-Siberian Orcestra on instruments with Extreme, Dream Theatre, and the Alan Parson's project for back up.

Describe the album: Throw your cell phone out the wind. Turn up the radio and floor it. Red lights are optional as you cruise along to a ripin' set of music ballands and hard running rock. The kind of stuff you can get a whoel bar to sing along with you at and nobody can give you crap for singing.

Of course, a few of these people are dead, but this is fantasy right?

Me and one of my classic rock fan friends thought of this a couple of weeks ago:

Name of band: Epik (because mispellings make EVERYTHING cool)
Genre: Hard Rock
Awesomeness: 100%

Roger Daltrey - The Who (vocals)
Slash - Guns 'n Roses (Lead guitarist)
Eddie Van Halen - Van Halen (2nd lead guitarist)
Jimmy Paige - Led Zeppelin (Rhythm guitarist)
Geddi Lee - Rush (Bass)
Neil Pert - Rush (Drums)
Jon Lord - Deep Purple (Keyboards)

Paul McCartney and John Lennon would be the band's musical writers.

Everyone in the band would probably hate each other and never get along, but it would be EPIC.
You killed Harry Potter  >:( !!!!!
Yes. Yes I did.
