Sony Cutting PSP Production

Don't know if many people have seen this article

Living in the UK, this makes me wonder what the hell Sony are playing at.  It wasn't long ago, there were hints that the September launch could be delayed, due to a lack of units, and now this?  I think that Sony are in for a shock come 1st September, due to the number of imports that have been in the 9 months that Europe has been delayed.  Take into account the price ( nearly twice that of a DS ), and I can't see if flying off the shelves.

Maybe it is because they don't have enough chips?

I remember them saying they couldn't keep up demand around a month ago.

Its a major cut, from 18 million to 12 million.  Thats 6 million or 1/3 of the total production.
