Probably not a Goat, either.

Warning here -- this one's got a bit of cartoony butchery gore in it and stuff.
Otherwise, it's a really crazy musical animation.

That's cheating  >:(
They just put another layer on the original opening. I like the animations on the original opening though ^^

That is awesome. I know that even polygone graphics use a smiler technique to reduce load by just rendering what is on screen. This could potential be powerful but how it runs animations and especially off screen simulations i am not sure. Also i would like to know what is the data load on this. For a static 3D picture it seems great so far but once you start to make it dynamic will it still have the same edge?

Well everything has to start somewhere. But what Yokto said came to my mind when i watched it as well. Looks great for static stuff but would probably be a problem if you need to animate a lot of stuff or simulate things happening offscreen.

Of course, that makes it ideal for rendering static scenery such as terrain and buildings, so I guess there is scope for a hybrid system where the mobile or destructible elements use polygons and the landscape is points.

I remember watching a very similar talk a while back about farming animals on land. Same sort of principal, work with nature rather than brute forcing things, in the end, you can often find a way for nature to do a lot of the work for you, and actually reward you for doing it too.

I can't remember the name of that video but essentially some guy had a farm where he rotated the livestock through various fields. Grazers would go out and eat the grass, then they'd be taken to a fresh field with long grass and chickens would be put in the 'depleted' grazer field. They would paw through all the poop the cows and sheep had left to eat the maggots and flies, and their claws would evenly spread the dung and help fertilize the grass while keeping down the number of pests. With the pests eaten and the poop nicely mixed into the field, the grass grew back very fast, and within a few weeks it was ready for the grazing animals again.

I found the Scrin to be quite unbalanced compared to NOD and GDI.

Wonder if they will make an appearance in CnC4
