Taking some mandatory training at work:
You have heard a Code Yellow, what do you do next?
A .Call Security.
B. Ask your supervisor or locate your departmental emergency plan.
C. Immediately inform all patient and visitors of the emergency while crying hysterically.
You are on the elevator when it suddenly stops between floors. What do you do?
A. Scream for help.
B. Activate the alarm button in the elevator or the phone switchboard with the elevator phone.
C. Try to open the elevator doors to get out.
You have a Code Pink situation, a child or infant abduction has been attempted. If you are the person who discovered the attempt, what should you do?
A. Pull the fire alarm.
B. Call your emergency number to report the incident and immediately let your supervisor know so that the nearest exits are guarded.
C. Wait and see if the child returns.
Normally these are not part of our training needs, but this year all employees need to train and clear on a lot of things we have nothing to do with. The annoying part is not all of the techs need to take it, near as I can tell it depends on your telephone number and listed location. So two of the team who's phones are forwarded from the corporate office are exempt, yet they spend more time in patient's rooms than we do.
