Well it is a tricky question.

If the game is using the same mechanics that the original game used then I'd say that what you see is what you get. However if they are using a new engine (I think it is just a heavily modified engine) the characters may be doing more than what the game says they are doing.

Yeah I started using weaker weapons with my Warrior there seems not point in having legendary swords if they don't hit for more damage. So I just use the blood sword and heal back what ever damage I take my self. The only other question i have that i can't seem to find anywhere is what effects do leveling up my job have on the Devout and a Summoner. I notice the Warrior hits harder as the job level goes up the thief gets mroe hits per turn. I can't work out what advantage the Devout and Summoner gain as they increase job level.

I certainly had the impression that 9999 may mean 9999 or it may mean 20386.

job level increases the effectiveness of their skills and in the case of mages their damage.
What have you got against intellectual midgets? They're quite smart little guys as far as i can tell.

I haven't really noticed much of an increase in the damage of the summons even though my Summoner is now over job level 50. My Devout mostly only heals not attacks I don't thinkI have seen much increase in Health healed but I'll kep an eye on that.

How ever you look at it though at least with my Summoner the damage done by Leviath even with a low job level is plenty heaps.

Hey, I got this yesterday after my friend introduced me to the joys of final fantasy (we were playing X-2). I didn't get very far... That town where everyone's become a gold silhouette. I entered the mythril cave place and got pwned... I had no idea there was no autosave or anything. Lost it all.

Oh well, I had spent most of that game just exploring, so I'll speed back through.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

You need to get to a safe place before someone with less self-control than myself reads this. Your very life is in danger. Go now, run!

X-2?! DID YOU SAY X-BLOODY-2?

Okay whatever.

Better than 7, at least.
Not a winner anymore.

IX was by far the best one of the series.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.
