What a fool. Humans practically have no teeth and stubby legs when you compare us to other animals, and we're on our way. Seriously, when's the last time you successfully chewed through a tree to add to your dam or chased down a gazelle to sink your teeth into its neck?

In my opinion if a creature is ill-suited physically (and as long as it has some intellectual spark and a lot of luck) they will start using tools to make up for their inadequate bodies. We all know what happened when some frail ape-like creatures started sharpening stones: look in the mirror!

Hehe....I think spore will sell, probably even better than the Sims: By the time it comes out there will be so much hype that everyone will know about it.

Reasons spore will sell

If Ea is capable of anything, it's marketing. I'm sure the godlike marketing people there can get the box to have a quirky(therefore appealing to the little people),  theme, while still showing the mind blowing amount of death.

Spore = The sims on steriods

Yeah really on that alone is one of the best selling points. I mean what other game allows you to do that without the need for modding or haking the program?

I am a sci-fi fan. There are a few of us (look at Star Trek, Starwars, etc. or any bookstore or library). I have not played a PC game since the days of breakout/arkanoids and other shareware on CDs. But I am going to buy this one. Did the author factor that in?

The core game aside? The creators alone will pull a good number of sales. We're a starving populace of gamers being fed mostly the same old recycled soylent green for years, and Spore is a massive prime steak/gigantic bowl of legendary copypasta/delicious cake.

If there is one thing that EA is good at, it is definitely marketing. The game will most likely sell great.

hmm will spore sell? what kind of a question is that?

well first off even if the game turns out to be absolutely horrible (yeah right..) about half of the people waiting for it will still buy it.

Next as previously stated this game is already interesting people who don't usually play video games, and its not even being fully advertised yet, imagine how many more people will want to play this game once everyone knows about it, it gets great reviews, and its (hopefully) hailed as being of great educational value (study of life, ecosystems, etc.) as well as entertaining, that alone may cause many parents to let their kids buy it or even buy it for them (i mean what parent doesn't like an educational game that their kids actually want to play?).

Then of course that croud of people known as "casual gamers" will pick the game up because of its wonderful reviews and hype, Sims players will be drawn to it by the names of the people working on it as well as the creature and tribal stages.

You know I could write up some huge paper going in depth on every reason this game is going to sell as much as, if not more than the sims, but its late and any arguements on the point won't really matter in the end as reading about how well something may or may not sell has little to no impact on how many copies are actually sold.
