Server time
« on: November 03, 2006, 02:07:33 pm »
Was it just for me or did the serve time just change by about 12 hours forward? I Log in and posts i saw made this afternoon now say they were done yesterday. I think this place is falling apart we need a couple more rolls of duct tape.

Of course the up shot of this is now posts made by me this after noon say at for 4:30 were now made in the morning at 4:30 while I was a sleep.

Life is not measured by the amount of times you fall down but by the number of times you get back up again.

It wasn't my time that changed well me time changed but not relative to the server time I was sitting on +19 hours I think now I'm on + time I think the server went to GMT or something.

I went from +3 server time to -9 server time! Sounds like a European time zone to me.

I went from +6 to -4. Since I'm GMT, that means the server is operating on an Asian time zone:

GMT +4 on that map.

Me too, thanks for figuring that out since we are in the same time zone I could change mine easily.

GMT +4 on that map.

So I guess that puts the server in the same time zone as Aremenia... What the heck? ???

Is it just me or did all of your messages marked as "read" suddenly become unmarked...

I can't seem to mark anything as "read" anymore! I am in a hell of blue buttons!

Wait, did someone reset the Forum time? Damn my stuff is all messed up now...

Yeah my main page view is shot to hell... what is going on here lately?

I mean... is the forum doing all this crap by itself or is there a third party that we don't know about?

Yes it does, immensely. Any new posts in any board result in an eternal "New posts" in that thread, reguardless as to whether you have read them or not. That seems to be what's happening to me.

I guess I will go do something else for a while and see if this is worked out...

 :D

It hurts my brain.

I reset my forum clock settings and now all the clocks read the proper time but I still can't mark anything as read.

Yeah, if you look at Who's Online, everyone that was on at that time is stuck in the future, for about 12 hours when that time will actually come.

I don't think I've ever marked a message as read. At first the blue "New" buttons annoyed me slightly but now I don't even notice them...It's all just a strange blur of Icons...

Edit: Although now the fourms won't tell me when I've already seen a fourm and there's nothing new in it. It just stays blue...
A Diffrent shade of blue...
One I'm not used to...
Hm...
Ironicly thrown into the mists of almost the same situation, our characters decide to take action
I say we storm the Clock Tower, that's where they're hiding Princess Isabella!
or not...Not works too.

Yeah, I'd go with steve. ;)

What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

Yea, I noticed this too. I don't think the browser is the problem, BTW. My other computer only has IE  and the same problem. It's really annoying because now I don't know which forum I already checked.

Okay... was I wrong before or has server time changed again? Admittedly I could have gotten it wrong the first time, but it seems it's shifted 12 hours back; I'm now on +8.

I mean... is the forum doing all this crap by itself or is there a third party that we don't know about?

Oh, yeah, didn't you hear? Nintendo are sponsoring Steve's site and want stricter control of the forums so they can force us to promote the Wii. They're just testing the system a little to see how observant we are, the heavy-handed new admins will turn up in a few days now.

As I said in Gabbly. These are portents of the end of the First Age. The Form will unravel back into the ether-stuff from whence it came, the stars will align in new formations, and a new forum will rise from the churning void. All but the most powerful of us will be destroyed by the forum's passing. But those who stay will become the Gods of the new forum!
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.
