The Sims 3

YAAA!!!

No information on the game yet, but the original Sims remains as one of my favorite games of all time, and is the game that really got me into videogames. The Sims 2 is a great sequal, but y'know...nothing beats the original.

It probably won't be released for some time...with most of Maxis working on Spore and the bazillion expansion packs that I will still be suckered into buying.

Thoughts?

Interesting that there was no mention of Spore in that article, which leads one to believe that it was only new titles only in the call (nor was there mention of Madden 07 or 08 :) )

I thought about getting The Sims 2... but I'm married with two kids... seemed redundant.

Then consider getting four copies...

I've heard a lot of rumors about Sims 3.  Most of them are bogus.  Until there is official word from Maxis, I'd treat it with skepticism.

Then again, I thought Sims 2 was much better than Sims 1

Well, this is official word from EA, who owns Maxis.

That was fast. I would have thought they would have milked Sims 2 for at lest another 5-10 expansion packs

What more can they possibly do?

Well, Actually, I want to see my neighbor from my house. Not all of them just like the people a crossed from me. They would be controlled by the computer and you could play "keep up with the Joneses"

That would be cool

I know and I'm saying that I have seen topics like this before and none of them were backed by official EA or Maxis... and since when has a GameSpot review been evidence of official word from either of them ;)

Of course I hope you're right about this

Umm...the "evidence" is right in front of you. EA confirmed it, and GameSpot is reporting it. What more confirmation do you need?

Fine.  I'm going to remain skeptical... and it's not polite to roll your eyes at someone for asking a simple question  ::)
