Easier Way to Rip Music to 360 Hard Drive?
« on: September 24, 2006, 06:00:44 pm »
I've recently been trying to rip my music collection to my Xbox 360's hard drive. I tried ripping it to a DVD, but that won't work. I put in a retail music CD, and it showed all of the song info. However, I have been burning CD's from iTunes, and putting them into my 360, but when I do that, my 360 doesn't know the song information (i.e. song name, artist, album, etc.). I really don't want to enter the information for all 700+ songs I have.

I know I can stream the music from an iPod, but is there an easier way to rip music directly onto my 360's hard drive?

I dunno why. did you buy the songs/albums off iTunes? If so...i'm surprised they'd work at all, DRM and all...

When you burn a audio cd, like a retail one, that is not mp3, there is no DRM, therefore you can always burn your songs to a cd, then rip them if you want to DRM off.

I'm supriesed it found any cd info, usually when I put in a retail cd, I have to edit the info. Its not bad if you have a keyboard.  I guess you could always get one of those xbox 360 HD sata connecters and hook it up to your pc, but that is complicated, not easy.  I would say, just use windows media connect and share your music from your pc, that is how I do it. :)

Yeah, if you are entering text for any reason, such as typing a message or filling out cd info.  The only game I know that supports it in-game right now is FFXI
