why wouldn't people worship a space ship that can move faster than light

Don't be silly, you can't go faster than the speed of light.  Scientists merely had to increase the speed of light in 2208.

Futurama FTW; A Clone of My Own ^^

That's Impossible. *snort*

Untill a new genius proves otherwise.

"I want to grow up to be just like you"

"Oh you will, and by the way, you may want to read up about a condition called wandering bladder"

"I understand how the engines work now.  It came to me in a dream.  The engines don't move the ship at all, the ship stays where it is, and the engines move the universe around it!"

I love futurama.

A ray gun aye?

"we come in peace"

ZAP ZAP ZAP

ala Mars Atacks

A Ray Gun Eye would be doubly interesting...

Still, yes, a ray gun would be fun, as would other planet-roving toys to play with...

Damn skippy it would. It'd be interesting if you could creature your own space-suit for your creature too.

this raises a question...

can you disembark from your spacecraft on a planet with no atmosphere or conditions not compatible with your form of life?

if so, what would the effects be? (the GDC'05 video comes to mind)

Just pretend that the little critters took a pill which makes them able to breathe in alien atmospheres.

there was a question about beaming vechiles.  I havnt seen it but i have seen the ufo beam a city on a planet to colonise with, which im sure you could then build vechiles and what not to help conqure that planet.
