The intro music of Monkey Island 3.
And 'A pirate I was meant to be' from the same game, isn't great as in beautiful, but great as in funny :D

Yeah, the pirate song was the greatest.

Which one's the intro song? The beginning with the Voodoo Cannonball?

Perhaps one of the greatest soundtracks to a game I've played for a long long time is that of Cave Story.
http://www.miraigamer.net/cavestory/music.php
The music was remixed recently. Some tracks are very good - I particularly like Ball of Ballos (Running Hell) and Grass Stains (On to Grasstown):

And, I just found some great midi remixes! (Warning, page in Japanese)

Also very good is the soundtrack to DEFCON (incredibly atmospheric).

The intro music of Monkey Island 3.
Theres a monkey in my pocket,
and he's stealing all my change.
His stare is blank and glassy,
I suspect that he's deranged. :3

Oh my god, I love this! Completely redone with real instruments and such Super Mario World music. I especially like the Castle Melody, Vally of Bowser, and Yoshi's island. Don't dismiss this, because it's amazing.

I don't know if I said it already but Dancing Mad is probably at the top of this list or very near it.

So far this is one of the few videos I have found of Google Video that is not on YouTube.

Best music? Definately Halo1/2 and Gears of War. Although the Mario theme song is addicting. Gears of War has some very good dramatic action music, and Halo? It has just this amazing plethora of different types of music, very fitting with the game.
Emergence Day '06: Run like Hell. Yes, hell is very fast.
