cool, my flying bomb crashed into earth, we're all deadá ;D

This is pretty outdated, since we now (officially) have 12 planets

Err... no. 8 planets and two dwarf planets (Ceres and Pluto) plus a few extra-solar planets beyond Pluto.

But this will definitely help out CC.

NO NO NO its like this; Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Then there are the three new Dwarf planets; 134340 (formally known as Pluto), a large asteroid called Ceres, and a distant object called 2003 UB313 (unofficially named Xena).

umm... Wasnt Charon something out there too?

That is only scale size for the planets, not the distance between them.
Are you refering to my link to http://www.solarsystem.org.uk/model.html? Because that's to scale for both size and distance, watch your scroll bar.

The application linked to in my original post is not that much different than what we'll see in Spore (albeit, easier to navigate).

And this pretty much sums up the result of the game of planetary musical chairs...

I believe you're thinking of a game called Orbit. I'd give you the link but I'm not sure where it is, or if I even have it anymore. In any case if you're really intereasted its buried in one or maybe even a few of these threads. You get to create planets, stars, designate motions, and there's even pre-build scenarios like a daisy flower orbit/circular implosion etc.

Edit: Cross that nm, that Grav ones just as good, simpler and less exact maybe but much much easier to use.

The Planet 10 thing is fun, but I need something realistic, to simulate the terraforming of a planet or something, in 3d.  Wait a sec, that would be the coolest screensaver ever!  Have a simulation of a colonization.  Have the ships come, like a hundred years later there oceans and life.  That would be cool.  If any of you know something like that, tell me.
