Crazy marketing strategy for the Revolution
« on: June 08, 2005, 07:18:01 pm »
Yeah, my friend and I were chatting about the new consoles the other day, and we were talking about the Revolution, and we came up with the best marketing strategy EVER for the Revolution.

See, Nintendo would have this HUGE event to unveil all this stuff about the Revolution. Then, all the sudden, these people break into the building and steal the Revolution! Then they can hold a fake Revolution auction on eBay with all this info about it, and stage somebody buying it for like $1 million.

I bet you a Revolution that it would get a huge amount of press.

Is that legal?  ;)

How would they steal it with all those people?

Wouldn't eBay just freeze the auction?

And isn't $1,000,000 a little high?  ;)

But that would get a lot of press.

Oh, wait, I meant to say that Nintendo would set up the whole thing themselves. Actually stealing it yourself would be really hard.

I think that is illegal...

Lieing is against the old testement, but it's not against the law.
If Nintendo wants to lie to its fans, no one can stop them.

Although this sounds more like a Microsoft tactic.

The idea is to mix one ingredient that will burn very fast with a second ingredient that will supply enough oxygen for that burning. This burns so fast, it's an explosion.

The Ringling Bros. Circus (I'm not quite sure which circus) a long time ago staged a lawsuit against their bearded-lady claming it was just a man in a dress to gain publicity.  And it worked!  Oh these silly marketing strategies...
