I don't really consider myself an artist but here's something I made on a whim.

I'm in an RPG game which I play with my friends over IRC called Rogue Trader, which uses the Warhammer 40,000 setting (If you don't know what that is think... Catholic Nazi Space Pirates and you're about half way there).

It was made in response to an event in the last session where some evil tech-priests who were trying to steal our ship started hijacking our comms and broadcasting this evil brain-melting whispering across the entire ship, making many of the crew go crazy.



Pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Its hacked together in GIMP. The ear was some bit of ****ty clipart I found on Google images. I used filters/tools to decrease the amount of detail to make it look more poster like. The blood is a combination of various shades of red drawn on with the brush tool and a stock photo of dripping blood. The lightning bolts I just cut out from a poster for some band or event or something. The font I downloaded from a free font site. Finally I put the whole thing through an effect filter called "old photograph" or something like that which added the grain effect and washed out the colour a bit.

Played around a bit with muscle anatomy since I'm always rusty with it most times.



This one was fun. Did this for a DJ to advertise for his performance at an 80's themed event.



And lastly a sketch-to-finished-product example here. Did this for a collaboration of several artists pitching in for a Banjo-Kazooie collage.
