Sorry for the 120daybump.

Anyway, i've been pondering getting this, but i'm not sure. Can anyone give me some pointers as to what to expect if I do get it, if it's worth it, etc etc.

I surprise myself by saying this, but I don't recommend this game over the other chart-toppers out there. It gets tiring when you finish upgrading your house and get the last Nook's.

So unless you like a life-simulator that's more boring than reality, I wouldn't get this.
No way dude, you're trolling me.

It is a polished version of Animal Crossing with multiplayer, that's about it. So if you really like Animal Crossing or have never played the first you should get this, otherwise pass.

It's worth checking out if you didn't play it on the Gamecube.
Should be pretty cheap used by now.

If you didn't play the GC version then that's a big reason to get this. True there is little to do once you maxed out your house and are out of debt. Keep in mind this will take you a better part of a year to do anyway so while it is true that once you have done everything you have little left to do tell me what game that isn't true for. Add to the fact that few games will take you this long to complete everything it be nice if there was more side things to do but there is plenty to at least sink a few months of your life into.

The game gets better when you have people you can play online with and visit the towns of nice to take a tours and see how people decorate.

I played the first Animal Crossing, and didn't understand it one bit. I thought some parts of the game were cool and some were vastly annoying.
Kings 2:23-24 --- The Holy Bible
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youth.

Collecting money was always annoying. I don't see how it is possible to donate all that money to get those items.

That's true.  My friend did it.  She'd often play 8 hours straight.  Of a normal game, 8 hours wouldn't be too crazy but, could you imagine fishing in AC for that long...?

When i played I'd play on the train to and sometimes from work. I'd have done everything there is to do by a bit over half way home which is a 45 minute ride. Still I did manage to completely pay my house off. It also helps if you know which items you can completely rip the towns folk off with during the garage sale days.
