PARAMOUNT severs ties with Tom Cruise...
Behavior of star 'unacceptable'...
Wagner: Redstone's comments 'outrageous and disrespectful'...
After 14 years...

Finally that loser is out of work. I haven’t gone to any of his films after he said that depression wasn’t a really disease

If any of you have seen me with out my meds you would know how depressed I get

Anyway, this isn’t about me. Your thoughts?

Good.

This guy has been in many good movies, but he is very immature and disrespectful

I'm glad he's is done for now. Hopefully his wife will eventually see through him and leave.

I don't think a little shadow behind a curtin counts as pictures of baby Suri.

Which reminds me of a sketch i heard on the radio a few weeks back of a person ringing up the suicide hotline distrought over the fact there aren't any pics of baby Suri. The person at the hotline tries consoling the caller by suggesting other major celeb goss covering the womens mags but nothing helps. The sketch winds up with us finding out the reason the person is so distrought is because they are an editor of a major magazine themselves.

Ok now I'm just evil.

No...I'm actually sad. Cruise is a good actor, with (hopefully) many years left sane enough to act. Bugger. No-one's gonna want him now.  :(

Wait? They had a kid? And named it Suri? (I don't follow anything in Hollywood)

That is horrible thing to do to a kid. Well, I guess it can't be worse then having Tom Cruise as a father  :-\

[Edit]

Oh yeah, They did have a kid huh. I herd something about the mother not aloud to say anything during birth. That cult just get weirder and weirder

I really hate that he turned into such a douche. I LOVED War of the Worlds and Minority Report. I'm glad he's out of work, but I really dislike that he fell into Scientology at all.

I would like to send out a reality call to everyone in this thread who thinks his career is over ... It isn't. Do you have any idea how many people in Hollywood are Scientologists? TONS. It's a ridiculously high percentage of people living in that lifestyle. He has many, many friends that could not care less what his beliefs are or believe the same things he does. He's always going to get work. That's just the way it is. This just means he won't do films with Paramount. So what?

It's not the fact that I think he's out of work. It's just such a slap in the face to be a famous, talented actor, and to be dropped by a studio. It makes me all warm and tingly inside.

What's ironic is that it will likely hurt Paramount more than him. They'll be characterized by the Hollywood elite as overly conservative and reactionary, not to mention the fact that they'll lose all future revenue from his films.  [I think the article mentioned that 15% of their profits come from his films.] From a personal standpoint, I like the move; from a fiscal outlook, it wasn't overly bright.

not reccent ones MI3 barely broke even thanks to the huge ay packets Cruise got, and most of the audience where probably scientologists anyways

Yeah, but be fair: Was anyone really anticipating another Mission Impossible flick?? With the 1st one, people were like, "Oh, okay, it has Tom in it -- I'll see it." By the 2nd, we were all saying, "Another one? Well ... it's directed by John Woo, so it will at least look cool..."

By the 3rd, I honestly think people were wondering why this relatively standard action flick series was getting another entry.

Well, not all rich people believe in Scientology, only those who are bored and need a bottomless hole to throw everything they own into and support a cult of retards.

Basically: People who don't deserve their money.

I only think it's stupid because they flat out refuse to beleive in psychology, despite the fact it's been proven to work.

That too. And the fact that they have an army of lawyers to defend their stupid rights.

Please can we have less flamebait? We know you don't like Scientologists.

I heard that the reason he was fired was because of the studio exec's new trophy wife who didn't like Cruise saying that postnatal depression shouldn't be treated as a disease.

OLD NEWS: South Park makes episode on Tom Cruise that even MORE unsubtle than Tom Ryan in Scary Movie 4. (Xeni informercial with the caption "this is what scientologists actually believes was funny tho).

PS. This has nothing to do with Cruise in particular. It's just that that episode is clearly rushed and badly made and nowhere near as funny as the rest of the season.

I disagree. I thought it was a great episode.
