No, but it's in my "10 Things to do Before I Die" list
Wow, same with me. Unfortunately, my list also has getting killed by a famous mass murderer and getting killed by falling into a manhole. I don't think that I can finish it all......

Steve, I'm guessing you're the only one who's been to E3 here, can you say how much tickets generally cost?

G4TechTv has like about 5 shows that cover E3, so each one could cover something.

Ive never been to America, let alone E3.
Here in New Zealand the closest thing we have to E3 is Armageddon, which is in about 2-3 weeks, but its more of a pulp culture expo than a gaming expo.

just out of curiosity, how much does it cost to get into E3?

E3 is free if you are part of the gaming community. Otherwise it's around $450 or so (and you still need to be part of the gaming community to attend). Watching E3 on TV doesn't really do it justice. You have to see it to believe it.

It is usually free (as long as I remember to register before the "free" deadline). They change the rules every single year. It used to free, and then it got popular and you had to pay, and then they made it hard to register, and then it got even more popular, and then they made it free/paid but only if you were part of the gaming community. Right now too many people go to E3 so they're making it harder and harder for you to attend as it's very crowded. In time they will have to move the convention out of LA (but the game companies don't want that since they're all near LA) as it is almost out of control how many people attend it each year.

You have to be a "qualified member of the interactive entertainment industry" whatever that means.

So it pretty much means you have to be a game designer or programmer.

Never been to E3 (the Gamers Mecca) although it is in my home state. But since I have been living in Germany for roughly 10 years I have been to CBIT (the Geeks Mecca) quite a few times. I must make it a point to go to E3 someday.

An interesting question: If you disign MODS for current games, and they are popular. Shouldn't you be considered a "qualified member of the interactive entertainment industry"?
If you spend word for word with me, I shall make your wit bankrupt.
