The bay area to me means Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Try saying San Fransisco instead of assuming no-one else lives in a bay of some kind.

I didn't feel it, though.
Paignton has a nice zoo :)

My mom felt it. I didn't. I was probably shaking my feet too much to notice.

No fair, how come you guys get all the fun natural occurences.  The most exciting thing we have up here is freezing rain.  Lot's of freezing rain.

Not now mind you, more in November.

Freezing rain sucks, but I'll take that over earthquakes. Last thing I need is the pipeline nearby to explode... I live in what they call the "kill zone". Don't think I need to explain what that entails...

Gee i don't even live in the states and i know that th Bay area is San Fran.

I didn't.

I mean, I probably could have guessed, you know, "Earthquake" and "America" pretty much just make you think of San Francisco...

So yeh, unsurprisingly, nothing felt here...

We got an earthquake around here around two weeks ago. Was a minor jolt, lasted about two seconds and only shook things up a little bit.

I'm actually quite relieved that we've been having these little quakes down in Southern California this last year or so. Better a bunch of little ones that don't do much than The Big One (allways capitalized)

Isn't The Big One still overdue though?

Where I live, we just had an earthquake. Nothing big, but it was 6.9 in Baja Californa, getting pretty strong up here in. Anyone else feel it?

Yep, we were eating Easter Dinner (Lunch, really) at the time.

Isn't there already a topic for this?

Not that I know of, if there is, by all means please merge, mods!
Edit: They say it was a 7.2, not a 6.9 on the news.
