It is also in the Arcade in the Shopping mall and I don't need to spend four hundred bucks to play it.

I'm still waiting for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 to be released on the Arcade.  It's being completely upgraded.  Smoke is even being added as a standard character, instead of an annoying unlockable.

But 400 points for a very basic version of Street Fighter II?  No thanks.

I think 800 points is too much. I know Microsoft had to put a load of extra work into making it a good port but hey - that's not our problem! I don't want to pay 800 special dollars for a old game really.

I heard it sucked, it got a 6.9 from Gamespot and a 7.5 from IGN.

Well, if you like Street Fighter then you can't really go wrong here.  It's an arcade perfect port, with online play.
My only real problem with it is how much it is.  Like I said before, I'm waiting for them to release Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, even if it's 1200 points, it'll be worth it.  At least they're upgrading it and everything.

I've been a massive SFII fan since '91, and this version, while technically decent, is essentially unplayable in any real way because of the Xbox 360's d-pad, and the variable online speed is pretty bad.

I've done a full review on my site if anyone would care to read my considered opinions!

Use the analog stick or a different controller (like the DOA4 one).

Thanks for the advice but I need a pad like the SFII 15th Anniversary ones released for the PS2 - analogue thumb sticks have no business controlling 2D fighters IMO!

Is this game fun to play even for non-Steet Fighter players? It looks interesting, but I'm kind of put off by the said high difficulty.

Pac-man is released tomorrow, for those who care.

The online component of the Street Fighter 2 HF is a blast with a few lag hic-ups here and there. It's true that the single player game is really hard and you'll most likely be playing it just for achievements and practice. If pac-man is only 5 dollars and theres some cool achievements I might be getting it. Maybe

The only problem I have with Pac-Man on arcade is that I can easily play that game in my web browser.

But, like you said, it's only 5 bucks, and for some achievments and playing on your TV, why not? I just wish there was some online component, like maybe one player could be Pac-Man, and the others could be the ghosts, or something similar.

They did that on the game cube. I herd it was rather fun

Yeah, but you needed 4 GBA's, and 4 GBA link cables in order to play it.

Don't you love Nintendo? They could of easily made it so one person had to have a GBA and a link cable (Makes sense so no one could spy), and the rest be on normal controllers.

They like to do things like that  :-\

Anyway
