I've been really sick for a couple of days, and had one of those unpleasantly vivid fever dreams last night.

It was about a small number of humans trying to escape some sort of nature-caused apocalypse. For most of the dream, our craft (one of two), was trapped in the atmosphere of the planet, and couldn't make it to interstellar space where it could be revved up for travel to the nearest habitable world.

I seem to have apocalyptic dreams awfully often. My subconscious must consider the world ending to be worth preparing for.

Or you're just really anxious about stuff.

Also all those sleeping pills you take for the side effects.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

At the end of a fairly long dream, most of which I don't remember, I went up into a cabin that I believe had appeared on my dad's property.

In the upper bunk I found a mac charger and one of my gas masks.

I took them and begane to go down the ladder when I started thinking how odd it was if my gas mask started talking to me.

At the edge of my hearing, I heard "take me".

I looked down at the gas mask, which looked normal. I faced forward again, and there was a solid plastic mould/mask/statue of a human face. I blinked, and now it was facing towards me.

Horror indescribable gripped my chest like a vice, and then I woke up.

Annoyingly enough, appearing faces are a reoccuring theme in my dreams, though I've never encountered this specific plastic face before. Most of the time it's a decaying girl in a mirror or on the other side of the room.

How interesting.

Oh, and make tally marks on yourself whenever you see one.

I found a spy plane belonging to the Bad Guys and suggested we blow it up. Someone else had a better idea, shove a Pikachu in it and electrocute them! He/she pointed to a Pichu. I (the person that was me) agreed without comment, while I (my actual thoughts) knew it was obviously a Pichu. We told the Pichu that we thought was Pikachu that it was probably going to die when the plane crashed. It started to cry, then evolved into a Seadra. Clearly, my subconscious knows nothing about Pokémon.

Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I was forced to sleep in a small hotel room with my parents and little brother for two weeks. They all snore, the bed was uncomfortable, and I kept having body-horror-type dreams D:

Now I haven't been dreaming at all. Which is annoying because I normally like dreams.  >:(

As an aside, do other people have a sort of overarching world which dreams take place in? I've been having dreams that clearly all take place in the same area, and I love it. I've been trying to make a map recently of all of the locations.

Well occasionally I have dreams in similar areas, for instance one is a university complex. The places change around though, but the feel remains and I usually remember in the dream or afterwards that I have been there before.

I would actually recommend you mapping these things if you take joy in dreaming, as it will help you to establish a clearer base in the dream. This can increase the chance of lucid dreaming, but you probably know that already.
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.

I dreamt a guy I like shaved his head like me and bragged to everyone about how awesome I am.

Normally I might be disappointed to wake up, but the superstitious me believes this is a sign. Whenever I dreamt of someone I had drifted apart from, we eventually came together and made up our differences.

My subconscious says it's not over yet.

Shame nobody will ever love someone who calls it a sport coat.

I'm just being mean about Americans.

But really, sport coat? What sort of sport requires you to wear a suit jacket/blazer?

I think it's because they often have sports emblems on them.

That's a nice theory but it's WRONG.

It's from when they were worn while hunting.  The coat has evolved since then.
Probably not a Goat, either.

This one was particularly weird.

Girl scouts were going door to door and stealing everyone's meat, knives, alcohol, and weapons. Also peeing in trash cans.
Eventually they decided to forego all of that and just burn the houses down.

That's what those homeowners get for thinking that they're too good for samoas.
