Most Disturbing Song
« on: July 22, 2006, 02:23:26 pm »
What's one of the most creepy/disturbing/scary songs you've ever heard?

For me it would be Slayer's "Dead Skin Mask". Especially near the end when the girl starts speaking. Slayer in general are good at making disturbing songs like that. If you haven't heard that song, you have to. It's a great song and one of my favorites.

Double Barrel Prayer by Diamanda Galas. The noises emitted by this woman can't possibly be human. Or maybe Darker Designs by Siebenbürgen. Pretty short but chocked full of demonic voices, latin chanting, screaming women, crying babies. Makes you feel as though you've spent a minute and a half standing within the very depths of Hell itself.
There is a method to my madness. That method is in and of itself quite mad, but it is method nonetheless.

I am indeed. While their lyrics aren't all that great, their music is vibrant and catchy.

You could just as easily say that about Britney Spears.

That's because they're both pop.

One of my favorite songs is The Whitlams - No Aphrodisiac, well one of the verses gets really weird.

Forty shaved sexy wants to do it all day
With a gun-totin' trigger-happy tranny named Kinky Renée
Tired teacher twenty-eight seeks regular meetings for
masculine muscular nappy-clad brutal breeding
While his wife rough-wrestles with a puppy all aquiver
on a wine-soaked strobe-lit Asiatic hall
of mirrors and a dash of loneliness
There's no aphrodisiac quite like it

If that isn't a metaphor, i don't know what is.

THE most disturbing song ever:
http://www.lemondemon.com/lemondemon/Correctional%20Facility%20Food%20Sucks.mp3
just listen

Don't know if I'd say that's disturbing, but it's pretty damn funny.

I'm planning on downloading "Frankie Teardrop" by Suicide. I just know it'll sit on my hardrive for half a year before I finally listen to it... :(
As for what I've heard so far... Something by Korn, possibly. As you see I need to listen to more music!  :)

The lyrics of "Mein Teil" by Rammstein are pretty crazy at first, I guess. They're funny in a disturbing way, though, so I'm somewhat desensitized to them I guess. When I first heard it, I was a bit freaked out by the screaming in one part, I think.
