Since I can't draw worth poo, I might as well use what I do seem to have talent for: the Creature Editor.

A race that discovered electricity before fire! that's ingenious!  Keep up the goodwork, and thanks for acknowledging the Zrahi.

Acctually I'm intending a lot of their technology to be discovered backwards, simply by dumb luck.

The Silicon Age

As the Tortullakeet experimented with glass and sand, they began to build domed glass huts. These provided and extreme benefit to the dense tortullakeet: they could still see the world outside, without having to worry about the hazards. They were protected from the rain, the lightning, and predators. As the various sects began to form small towns of glass huts, those who invented more ways to use the electricity and glass were given more power and prestige. As with any small child, the slow-minded Tortullakeet began to become greedy and pompous from always hearing how brilliant they were from the others around them. Thus began an age of fuedal warlords, with various king inventors sending their townfolk to steal more glass and the newly created "silicon" from other towns and inventors. Eventually this (slowly) broke out into full scale wars... of course they went very slowly and lasted hundreds of years. As the towns expanded and grew, so did the knowledge of glass, silicon, electricity. This lead to the creation of many weapons, based around electricity. Glass swords and arrows were used, which would splinter as they impaled foes. Many of these were charged with electrical wiring, and shocked before they killed. The fighting became brutal, and for thousands of years the sole goal of the Tortullakeet was to invent, steal, and kill. With new discoveries in metal, the first computer was created while the Tortullakeet were still in our version of the early middle ages, with castles, kings, chivalry, and lightbulbs.

Edit: Random Insertion of Upright Tortullakeet Picture

It took a while, but the Tortullakeet eventually figured out how to walk upright. They are and will always be very clumsy though, and prefer to walk on all sixes, standing upright only to use equipment and weapons, grab items, or move objects more effectively.

lol! thats so awesome.  Imagine Knight's holding flashlights instead of torches or a king who's dinner table could calculate all the taxes the people owed him. mmmmmm backwards advancements.

The Stone Age

As the wars progressed, the Tortullakeet realized that their glass technology was... well, breakable. They needed something that was far stronger, and abundant, to reinforce their glass castles. The metals they found and forged were too scarce to be of use... the only alternative was use rocks. A great revolution took place, as the Savanha kingdoms began taking slaves of the still primitive jungle and forest races. The jungle race, being beautiful, were used in vast harlems to the inventor kings and their progeny, and as other in-town slaves. The forest race, however, was treated much worse, and were forced into hard labor, creating buildings which were a marvel of rock blocks and glass. Many wealthy royality sent workers to the mountains to mine stone blocks for building, and with the discovery of the desert, oasises, and the sand-tortullakeet who lived there, empires began to spead into the desert, and giant stone monuments and tombs were built to honor the kings and "pharaohs." It became very much like ancient egypt.

The Nuclear Age

Eventually the desert was conquered, and the mountain range was being stripped away. With all the sand in the desert, glass and silicon were put into high production, and computers really began to spread. Instead of being used to log data, they started being programmed to do complex math, and with the discorvery of heavier metals, led to the invention of the nuclear bomb. Soon, kingdoms were set in stalemates, armed with nuclear weapons that blew entire cities and pyramids off the map. Eventually, treities were signed, separating the kingdoms more equally among rulers. Several dictators arose in the kingdoms where the people felt oppressed by the treities and had lost land. One dictator, Reltih Hploda, of the kingdom of Ynamreg, caused a giant war which destroyed much of the kingdoms of Niatirb and Ecnarf. Ynamreg was obliterated from the desert by a massive nuclear attack, and any survivors were put into concentration camps and treated much like Jews were here.

The Wild Wild West

As territories expanded, contact was eventually made with the Marine Tortullakeet. They had done well, and thrived with a government system similar to fuedal Japan. They were concidered ugly by the other Tortullakeet, but had advanced technology, including seaweed paper, gunpowder, and alcohol. With the production of electric trains (steam power was never invented or needed because of electricty), trade between the Savanha and Marine tribes was very good. Inside each of the kingdoms small shanty towns appeared, and with gun powder came cannons and guns, with electrified glass projectiles. Bars and whore houses were common, as were gun fights and train robberies. Of course, the wars continued, and eventually only a few large countries remained in the savanha, forest, desert, and jungle regions. The Marine Tortullakeet prospered greatly from selling to all sides, and the southern coast quickly became an industrial and technological hotspot, just as japan is today.

Recap:
Primitive History
Silicon Age
Stone Age
Nuclear Age
Wild West

The Azilethebian Industrial Charge & The Dumb-Founded Movement

As the Marine culture and technology influenced the savanha, a revolution in fashion, etiquette, and industry began. The notable Queen Aziletheb took a fancy to marine trends, and all the royals started wearing outlandish outfits (which obviously would have been hideous and histerical to look at from an outsiders point of view). But the Tortullakeet were too stuck-up and stupid to realize how bad they acctually looked, and in fact the entire time period was named after Azile. Meanwhile, production boomed, and various new inventions appeared every day. As technology advanced, the Tortullakeet knowledge of how it all worked didn't. From their first domed huts and computers, to cars and aeroplanes, the Tortullakeet never really learnt anything. They meerly found new uses for old items, and would randomly stumble across new things. Without even bothing to understand where it came from or what it was, many new substances were used in whatever way seemed appropriate. Houses were still built using glass and stone (and are to this day), and the Tortullakeet were still slow and lucky.

The Nano-Modern Age

By the time of the discovery of nanotechnology, the Tortullakeet were extremely lazy, and had robots and VR to help them stay that way. The internet had been around forever, and was seldom cared about anymore. The Tortullakeet watched excessive amounts of TV, and became fat lazy dumb slobs. No one cared about anything, all morals and values had been lost, and the society was crumbling away. Something needed to be done.

This. Kicks. Ass.
I can't think of how else to put it. Really I can't. A race of sloth-like creatures, that have a lifespan close to Ryndalian average. Of course that average is rising faster than actual time so.... I don't know if Ryndalians will ever die of age.
But really, continue!

What will you do?
