I want this idea ...

I think i have a way for it to work. You have it where you go through in single player all the way to UFO. And then and only then you can make a wormhole (or somthing) and travel out of your universe to a Maxis HUB universe where the multiplayer game is. No one can get into your home universe but everyone can interact in real time in this shared HUB universe. In short if you decide to go back to your home universe then nothing will be chnaged or effected.

Ok, here are my top wishes in order of my favorites first  :)

1) Name Tags- i want to give my creatures names (e.g. cat, hamster, Panthera Tigris, etc.), it would also be nice to have the creators name attached to the creature as well.

2) 3rd Person/Leaders- i want to be able to be able to control a 'leader' much like you controlled your creature in "Creature Mode" i would like to take the 'leader' to newly discovered planets and explore the old fashioned way.  8)

3) Manual Downloads- I want the ability(optional, of course) to manually download creatures, buildings, etc.

4) Ruins- i would like to be able to visit ruins of destroyed civs and wonder about how they had lived.

5) Distinguishable Genders- and other random variance among members of a species.

Also, if we get the ability to create black holes i want to throw abducted creatures into it. :P This should be followed up by a satisfying animation of the creature being sucked in to it's doom, like when WW dropped an abducted creature onto the inhospitable planet.

all questions quoted for reinforcement!  These are great suggestions.  Especially the first one (for single player mode) I want to be able to tag my creatures and give them my own names separate from the name given them by the creator (ie. chat, cat, koyangi)

I like the diverse enviroment sugestion. In the demo it didn't look like there was much diversity in the enviroment, I would still like large climate differences for different parts of the planet.

How about first person view?

Depending on the way our eyes are positioned on the creature, we'd see differently in first person. For example, eyes far apart give us a wide viewing angle but poor depth perception. Or some eyes give us a black and white view. An interesting effect would be the way a fly sees, with little segments of vision everywhere. Of course. you don't have to go to first person view, and third person would be unnafected.

I have one:  Since the planet your species is on rotates on an axis ( i hope) then when you build cities, i want to be able to have night lights in the cities, and maybe a  light editor, and i want to create like neon lights and neon filled cities similar to HK, Tokyo, Las Vegas and Shanghai..etc...it would be so cool to see it from up high..

yes, and also effective organic lights.  As an off note, for those of you who have never had the good fortune of flying at night, city lights from up high look like phosphorescent mushrooms  ;D

A variety of lighting styles would be a fantastic addition!

As many creature creation options as possible, even expansion packs to add on to those options... or make it moddable so that there is no end to our creations.

Don't know if this has been said before.

I want to be be able to give creatures regular as well a scientific names.

You could just enter in the regular name (or slang name) but then you could choose from a bunch of differn't words to describe your creature and the game would then make a scientific name for it (i.e. - convert it to Latin)

Example for attached info -

"Insectum Bicipitis"

God: Will Wright
Name: Dilema
Class: Arthropod
Kingdom: Land
Consumes: Omnivorous
Reproduction: Egg
ect...

I don't know, maybe that is just me, but I am a science geek..:P

it's a great idea  :)  But why would animals have gods?  As far as I know that defect is reserved for humans only?

 ;D Presumably any species reaching sentience will develop some kind of rudimentary religion. So if it's wildlife, maybe no God thing (unless it's altered to Creator), but if they have their own society (e.g. are aliens from another world) they would probably have their own religion.

One thing I would enjoy seeing is a really flexible camera, similar to that seen in Sims 2, that is highly manueverable in pause mode (which ideally is a freeze-frame, rather than something that summons a menu). This would be so I can zoom and rotate around critters, not only to get an idea of the level of detail that's gone into them by their player-creators, but also for photography purposes (e.g. screen captures) and to weigh up how heavily armed they are etc.

Usng external screen capture methods isn't the same as a Sims-esque phot album.

Another thing I'd like to see, though may be a bit pie-in-the-sky, is parapitetic cities. In WarCraft III, for example, the night Elves had buildings that were actually moving natural entities that could walk around at will, enabling you to move your entire settlemen if the need arose. They were slow and cumbersome but it was still a nice touch.

In Spore, cities in danger could sprout gigantic robotic legs and stomp on tanks like insects. The entire city would need to be built on some kind of secret disc hidden a few feet underground or something.....but still. Walking settlements are probably more for impressing inferior races than having actual remote usefulness.

A laser on my UFO to draw pictures on a planet's surface, Cowboy Bebop style :D

The ability to build robots (most likely already a feature) and to give them the ability to transform into vehicles (mentioned in the Spore Wiki, so hopefully being considered as well). Transformeeeers, more than meets the eeeeeeeye!

Some tool for editing everything in space, which will most likely be in the game as well. Creating stars, planets, and other stuff from nothing... if that won't make you feel like God, nothing will.

Also, a standalone creature editor released before the actual game would RAWK.
