You can't say that! and I stand by my comments that queen dates the book significantly

The categories on the quiz machine now read: "War", "Pollution", "Famine" and "Popular Music"
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

And you would be wrong. Queen is ever-present. Hell, half the people I know own Queen's greatest hits and listen to them routinely.

Queen: Now and Forever.

The book is set in a specific time period.  :D It's an old book. Whopee. Read it anyway.

Will I be able to read this book for summer reading, or is it not serious enough?

Are there certain criteria a book has to meet before it can be considered 'serious enough'?

It just has to be approved by my parents, any book at all. Plus I'm probably gonna have to write an essay on it when I get back, explaining the central themes. I've already got 2 books (The Conquest of Gaul and Angels and Demons), but anything else is just gravy.

Yeah, its probably serious enough. There are jokes, but the story is essentially serious.

Wait. A Dan Brown novel was serious enough and you're questioning Good Omens? Then yes. Pratchett and Gaiman could outwrite Dan Brown if both suffered a full lobotomy.

Hmm...I woulnd't know about that. The only way it's serious is because it's parodying a semi-seious source(movie).

Uhhh. It is about the end of the world... its not an inherantly comic setting  :P

The plot would actually be very similar if they replaced the funny stuff.

What can you do but laugh at the end of the world? Just look at End of Days, hilarious movie.
